And tbh I am not sure you can call the music produced at Fredrick's court "baroque." They were specifically trying to NOT use the contrapuntal style of composers like JS Bach, whose eldest son CPE was the keyboard player at Fredrick's court for over 30 years. The baroque style was considered old fashioned and unnecessarily complex, not allowing the beautiful single note melodies to ring out among all the competing musical lines common to baroque era counterpoint. When JS Bach made his famous appearance at Fredrick's court he was definitely seen as being from another era musically. Meanwhile Bach's youngest son JC Bach, made a great success in London using the less polyphonic and more emphasis on the single clear melody line, known as the "galant" style. When he was in London the preteen Mozart loved it and the galant style became an integral part of his technique of composition.
