I went from handguns when younger. Then to rifles when i could still see at distance. Now im into shotguns and bad breath ranges. Very nice set up and its great to see somebody else that actually trains with what they fight with.

With all the focus on Rifles, people forget about a great, valuable tool like the shotgun. I like your set up. Love those Mossberg scatterguns! Nothing like 'em. Good video.

And for a SHTF scenario, shotguns offer non-lethal options like bean bag rounds that rifles don't, in addition to buckshot, slugs, etc.

Most nasties happens within 30 yrds. Shotgun rules. Since it's done in very few seconds/shots, it's the most power and highest chance of hits that does the day.

what about assault knifes or bats pot and pans this items are used to assaulted too, the ar 15 is the only weapons that can match the democratic police dept. police has ar 15 fully auto. no one is questioning them, democrats want to take just that rifle, the ar 15 and ak 47, this priceless weapon can take the rest of the tyranny on a police dept. democratic police dept, refused to defend 17 kids in florida.the police dept are the democratic police against the people.

Try a Elite Tactical Advantage oversize safety on your Mossberg 500. It's a triangular shaped piece that replaces that original plastic safety. Allows for many more ways to activate the safety. When replacing the plastic safety maintain pressure on the old safety because there is a small spring with a small metal ball bearing. If you don't slowly release the spring pressure that spring will fly off. Good luck trying to find it in the carpet.

Hello Eric! I got it made a couple of years ago. I dont know if the guy is still around. I don't have his contact info but the guys name is Craig Prince and his business is called Gun Connection. I'm pretty sure its on google. He did a great job. The only problem is I waited for months to get it. About 6 months if I remember correctly. So my experience with him wasn't good cause he kept coming up with excuses why it was taking so long and that he was short handed. I hope this helps and hopefully hes gotten better if he is still working.

I run a chestrig over a slick carrier so I can run shotgun, rifle or subgun without having to molle a bunch of extra stuff on and off all the time. I run a crye avs without the harness but just front and back plate like you. I run a mossberg 590a1 as well, I got the Mesa tactical ar conversion piece and I love it though I wish I'd have gone with a 870 because the saftey is a pill to run with anything other than a sporter stock on the mossberg. Got a black aces tactical heatshield and it adds a bit of extra weight but looks badass and makes mounting lights and optics a breeze. Love the set up your running though. Rifles are great but I got into the rifle game too late, my state outlawed semi auto rifles, 12ga is still best option for cqb in my opinion anyways. Keep shotgunning bud, screw the haters.

Try an oversized safety. Many designs to choose from. Elite Tactical Advantage has a delta wing shape. S&J Hardware has a diamond shape. Vaughn Precision has a safety that is rectangular with a thumb depression. Pro-Mag has one that is like the OEM safety with a protrusion.
When you remove that screw on the Mossberg keep pressure on the safety. There is a compressed spring with small ball bearing. It will fly off. Good luck finding that spring.
The oversized safety greatly increases the ways you can operate the safety. Not just your thumb. Use any part of your body, a tree, corner of a wall, pistol belt, boot heel, the sky's the limit.
Using the Elite Tactical Advantage delta wing safety. Can mount the point forward or rearward. Elite Tactical's website has suggestions on which way would be best for the shooter.
All are made of metal and are around $20 to $30. Well worth the cost. Easy installation.

Jeremy Strain: Lots of stuff for Mossberg 500/590. Oversize Safeties from Elite Tactical Advantage, S&J Hardware, Hahn Precision, Vang Comp, ProMag and Brownell's. Metal side saddles from Mesa Tactical, BDM, and Asgard Defence. A bolt release from Shoten Machine. Shoten makes a replacement part that has an extension to replace the slide over ride. The small button on the left side that releases the slide when cocked. Recoil reduction stocks from Knoxx and Mesa Tactical. Barrel clamps that attach to the muzzel area to support the barrel and magazine tube. Both aluminum and plastic fore arms. You can attach the your slings to the barrel band. The Mesa Tactical only makes barrel bands for Remington 870. BDM Gear and Lancer makes barrel bands for Mossberg. You could either get a new long magazine tube from Mossberg, or, Nordic Components has tube extensions. There may be other providers too. Mossberg will sell you a heat shield for your 500. There are two sizes. A standard size the Mossberg puts on the 590. There is a Oversize heat shield that Mossberg puts on the 590a1. The 590a1 has a thick walled barrel. Check out Brownell's or MidwayUSA for most of the parts you need.

    Nice outfitting. Excellent video.
(One small point completely unrelated to the equipment outfitting or his skills-imo he gets an A+ in both. It's his _"Liberty or Death"_ shirt. I suspect that if push ever came to shove, he'd turn his shirt inside-out and hand over his firearms without as much as a whimper-like most people would. So the message on the t-shirt is just bluster.)

Doesnt the shell holders on the front of the plate career pose a risk of creating spauling if you took a hit to the chest sure the bullet was stoped but bits of shotgun shell and metal from the shell holder became lodged in your neck or leg

There's a possible chance of injury, same goes when your wearing a plate carrier with rifle mags as well. The best way to avoid that is shoot the bad guys first and don't get hit LOL

Cool setup! Do the breaching muzzle function properly with the magazine extension?

Am curious on the picatinny rail install? Did you result to drilling a hole on the receiver or as a bolt on piece? I have the 500A model and been wanting to install heat shield and picatinny rails.

Hello. The rail is a bolt on, no drilling what so ever.

Is there a reason you slid the plate back in facing the wrong way out? I've never worn a plate carrier, I'm genuinely asking.
I took a second look, and I see you pulled out the lower plate (the one on the back side)?

If you look closely youll notice i took the plate from the back, not the front. The plates are curved inward to the contour of my body. If you look where i show the inside of the plate carrier. You'll see they are curved inward. 😊 i had a couple of comments thinking i put it the wrong way. I wouldnt be able to wear it if they were both curve outward. Anyways i hope that anwers your question.
