I’m thinking of length of hardwood 1x2 and a few swipes with a circular saw. And if I wanted to get fancy perhaps attach some small pieces from a marker mat that can be erased as needed. For me a sprue holder would definitely be a DIY project. But thanks for spurring my imagination Jason!
Hi Jason, Thanks for the review. This is the first time I've seen these. I doubt I would buy them. There are plenty of cheaper more flexible alternatives out there. I bought a clear acrylic rack that is meant for holding makeup. 10 spaces and the dividers are moveable. I paid less than $10.00 for it. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff
Thanks Jason for the review. As ever, always informative and well presented. My only thought is that the whole thing is a complete and total waste of money and plastic though. 😉
I'd also put the letters the other way up so that you could see the marking more easily. And... you can't move them easily once the sprues are inserted. Looks like you have to empty the rack each time.
What I've noticed about this company is that their tools tend to be brilliant whilst their "accessories" tend towards ropey. Best DIY rack I've seen is using an offcut piece of a timber and with about 10 'C' shaped door/drawer handles screwed into the timber. Whole thing cost about £7.

Seems a little bit under-delivered, as you said. Thanks for the review!
IKEA plate rack cheap cheerful and does the job for me. 😅

Hi Jason. Nice little rack that you can pop in a drawer when not in use

I leave the sprues in the box, using the plastic bag(s) to divide them and a few times I attached a bit of tape with the letter to the sprue.

P.C. Plastic Clear. Nice gimmick, But think I’ll save my money. Only use it see them for is for those that paint on the screw as a drying rack
Had not thought of that, good idea. I dont paint much on the spur myself
Whit all due respect, the inventor was not the brightest light bulb in the christmas tree.😊😊
Howdy J, is it worth trying to stand extra sprues in the gaps between the individual units? Would that work?
Question: If you have multiple A sprues you label the chain A1, 2, 3, B, C?
Yep any way you like with the 5 sure it will hold
Thanks for the review but really,,,,,
I would not consider buying this or stuff like 3D printed glue holders, totally unecessary items.
