Great restoration! The only other person I know that could make such fluid welds like yours was my father. He was a welder/steampipe fitter for 40 years. He only missed 2 days out of the 40 years and that was because of emergency surgery. He was supposed to take 2 weeks off to recuperate, doctors orders, but went back after 1-day of rest. He was an awesome guy and an excellent role model who instilled in each of his children a strong work ethic.
CrossGrain Wood Products,LTD thank you! this is giving me a special spirit! your or our fathers all around the world are mostly our role models, both my parents never take a day of if they are not near to death.
I think the greatest tool you have is love. It's the love you put in to your work that makes the dead come back to life. Love these videos they really calm me. Thank you 😊❤️
Seems crazy that the only thing holding the axe head on the handle is a little piece of wood glued and stuffed in between the handle to create a tensile force between the axe handle and the axe head. That is probably how it's always done, but for some reason it just doesn't seem like it would hold all that well over time with heavy use. Engineering physics is always a little mind boggling though.
Though I'm pretty sure you wanted it to be lightning from the heart, I thought of it as veins, pumping the power into the most powerful part of itself ❤️
I really love how this turned out! The direction you took with the heart wasn't what I expected, but I was so pleasantly surprised by the results :] I think the proportions of the axe itself are odd (not that it's your fault) so the end result almost feels like its out of a video game ^^ thank you for taking the time to film, edit, and share your work!!
wow that’s really reminds me of some of the very early keith herring art work that he did in the nyc subway very nice work please do more videos like this you are a true artist
Just as a reminder that you should have put a warning for flashing lights to the people who might have a condition or might get triggered by the welding part a part from that great restoration and I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the vids you have 😁
@@ForgottenShineRestoration thanks for your reply, and i have a suggestion for your channel, you could make blades from pieces of scrap metal, people like knives very much. But the restauration is also good. Good continuation.

Blade restorations are my favourite and this one is top tier. I'd love to see you restore a sword

Bro you're one of the few TH-camrs who provide subtitles with my native language (bengali) 💓😄
Superb artistry and craftsmanship, as always.
I dont love the embellishments on the heart, but i respect what you did. It looks like a nice piece of work
A job well done sir nicely restored it looks awesome sir 👍👍👍👍
I am very impressed by how you fixed the cracks- I didn't know that was possible with welding!
Thank you!
I wasnt aware that an axe could have designs like that

So cool! One of the most beautiful restorations I’ve seen!

Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
Thanks!
@@ForgottenShineRestoration You're welcome
For some reason the longer handle is more appealing to me.
But nice work nonetheless.
That axe really needed a heat treatment after all that welding
AWESOME!!!
Wow cool idea well done.

So Great Job 👍💯
Thank you very much! 🐢
Am I the only person who finds the 'burnt handle' horrible? Much prefer a well stained wood.
Thank you for your feedback! 🐢
The video is quite interesting, the best thing is that I can put it in my native language Spanish

Wow 👏👏👏
This is what the Tin Man was using when he lost his limbs.
Genial
So what you're telling me is that this axe belonged to someone from the Kingdom Hearts franchise?
It’s a hatchet? 🤔
a ckeaver?!
What's the method you used for applying the paint called? With the adhesive and stuff?

The ax has a Crack in it. It's broken hearted.
Thats true, i repair it... 🥰

This blade needs a heat treatment otherwise the welds will be brittle.

C'est une hachette, pas une hache. The tiltle is not a good traduction in French, but this is a good restauration.
merci!
