  • An interview with Sr Mary Sebastian of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Birmingham and their chaplain, Fr David Doran. The sisters came from Nigeria 20 years ago with a charism of compassion for the poor and Sr Mary Sebastian is their mission coordinator for Europe. She describes their work in medical and educational missions in 30 countries and how they have recently opened a fundraising office for their expanding work. We learn about their work in hospitals and with the homeless in Birmingham, showing how, through their value for community, African missionaries are now bringing charity to the West. Sr Mary Sebastian then reflects on vocations to the congregation, describing the work that people can do as a sister.
