Denver's Largest Eucharistic Procession in Decades!

- Sunday’s procession through downtown Denver was a powerful witness to the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. The Eucharistic procession drew nearly 5,000 faithful from across the archdiocese and from neighboring dioceses together in peaceful prayer in the heart of Denver.
“As we accompany Jesus through the hustle and bustle of economic, legal and legislative centers of the City and State, I am reminded of the way Jesus stopped to heal the woman with a hemorrhage in the Gospel of Mark,” Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila said of the historic procession through downtown. “Even amid the busyness of his day, Jesus stopped to encounter his beloved daughter and heal her. During these days, Jesus comes to encounter his beloved sons and daughters in northern Colorado, in the heart of Denver.”
As the National Eucharistic Procession leaves the archdiocese and arrives in the Diocese of Grand Island, Nebraska, we look back on what Sunday’s events meant to the Denver Catholic community!

My sister and I walked the perercession in Midland Pennsylvania for the first time. It was the most beautiful, wonderful catholic ceremony .thank you Jesus for letting me be a part of your life. ❤❤

My Archdiocese had NO PUBLIC announcements nor any diocese-wide activities in preparation, or for participation. The Seton Route passed through and had three smaller Eucharistic Processions. But there was NO local media coverage, no diocesan media coverage, No announcements at the Masses leading up to Corpus Christi. I am very disappointed. We should have had hundreds, if not thousands of participants, not the few dozen. Our Archbishop should have led at least one of them. So disappointed.
I live in Texas and my local Catholic priest did this kind of procession also. It was only our one parish and we only walked out around the church not even a city block. I guess the reason for this is not to draw attention to the masses per say but to make this event here more focused and personal than if the Dioceses for example were to announce it through the media. I personally am grateful however small the procession was that our faith was still shown strong the way it should be

@@chommie5350 Just recently I was able to attend the traveling exhibit of Eucharistic Miracles which young Blessed Carlo Acutis began. If you haven't seen it, I hope you get a chance to one day. Every priest should believe that Jesus lives on in His body and blood every time they celebrate Mass! There are too many eucharistic miracles to prove it (even though their faith should be all they need)!

Hallelujah! It's about time! Denver and Colorado have surprised me twice in the last half a year! First I learned that the Colorado Legislature passed Frances Xavier Cabrini ("Mother Cabrini") House Bill 20-1031 in 2020 and Governor Jared Polis signed the bill into law establishing the first Monday in October as "Cabrini Day," a Colorado State Holiday and the first paid state holiday in the nation that recognizes a woman! Incredible! I lived in Denver and several surrounding cities the majority of my 71 years (as of "Juneteenth" last Wednesday) and have gone to the Mother Cabrini Shrine up on Lookout Mountain many times. And now this wonderful procession for Eucharistic Revival from my former home parish-the downtown Denver Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception! Praise the Lord! Just recently I was able to attend the traveling exhibit of Eucharistic Miracles which young Blessed Carlo Acutis began. If you haven't seen it, I hope everyone gets a chance to one day. It seems like we're going to hell in a handbasket over the last few decades, but feast days and processions like this just might help slow down and hopefully stop the decline! Thank you Lord!

Our country avoided a near tragic event yesterday and understandably so ruled the airwaves. On a personal level I am 56 and don't want to keep up with the rat race at my job anymore. A point I want to make is I was at 4 o'clock mass yesterday and was in peace to be there. Stayed after and prayed later. Did a video of the Virgen Mary with water fountain outside and sent to our daughter. Went to our vehicle to text and order food. Looked for song that stayed with me. Heard it twice. Sent it to my wife. Absolutely, no hurry to leave that presence......So peaceful. Wonderful that these brothers and sisters are doing this. It is truly the best refuge to be in the presence of the Lord. God bless everyone. Please be safe ✝️
