I am new to goruck community and this moderate look of shooter is the one I ultimately want, but I can't see it anywhere 😢. My second look is gr2 26L, but I have been googling for a while to see whether there is any stock of gr2 26L shooter or 34L shooter (or slick) for a moderate look. Do you know whether 26L or 34L Gr2 slick is ever released? Thanks a lot!
This is one of the top builds for me. Very limited release and not a normal bag for them. It'll say "Shooter" in the title for it to have the inside loop material and extra frame sheet. Check Huckberry, as they have GORUCK Slicks made for them (not shooter style though): prf.hn/l/n0nNdao
Finally got mine today. Same exact style. I was concerned about weight before it came but it really isn’t bad. I’m gonna give it the honeymoon period for a bit, but it might get me to sell my Kaidan. I watched the recent purge series when it released but I don’t recall - was this one still a keeper for you after 5 months or did it go? I slapped one of the Vertx mesh medium pockets on the front velcro of the main compartment and really makes a fantastic quick access pocket at first try.
Hi, About waist belts. I just returned from traveling Southeast Asia and Japan. I used a single backpack, the Chrome Industries Barrage Freight backpack-a 35ish liter made for cycling and delivering. This backpack doesn’t have a waist belt and the padding is not very thick and with a heavy load my shoulders ached. After doing my homework, I want to upgrade to the GR2. I watched several of your informative videos, so my question is (finally) should I buy the waist belt for the GR2 (when the come available) for backpacking travel?
Yes, I think you may want it for those types of trips. I'd also recommend checking out the Evergoods CTB35. If you can wait a week or two I plan to directly compare the GR2 to the CTB35.
I’m a pro TH-camr! 😂🤣 But seriously though, my daily EDC alternates between the GRXC1 (21L, love that bag) for work trips and the Trakke Bairn for work while I’m home. For personal travel I pick something “coming up” in the review queue…which is currently causing some anxiety (too many awesome choices).
