Sometimes it is nice to just kick back, relax and enjoy the appetiser platters
Chinese restaurants have to offer. Big main dishes are amazing but in the summer months it can be too overwhelming.
A few platters of finger food can hit the spot just as much.

Hi Darren, new subscriber here! I got wind of your channel via your great pal Macmaster, and absolutely love it. I used to spend many a holiday in London, meeting with mates and going to gigs, shows and cinema visits to the likes of the National Film Theatre. Sadly, poor health means I can't travel anymore but your videos bring back some truly great memories. Take care and keep up the great work!

Well done Darren, your videos relax me are informative and very moorish Surprised they didn’t serve lashes of green tea like they do in China town in Birmingham. Proper Chinese food is miles away from what we call Chinese food in this country, it’s on another level, having a daughter in law who is Chinese makes me realise how to put fantastic flavours into food. It is wonderful that you are supporting and advertising local businesses during this difficult time.

i agree i lived in China for 6 years and chinese food in China is not the same. In Uk we have cantonese food not typical Chinese food. Chinese food in the west is changed to our palates
you guys need to go to China, to try out their food, totally different in UK and Europe etc
you will find totally different Chinese food in China
also depending what province in China, i was in the north east of China

Great vlog DJ! I haven't been there since I lived in Victoria Docks about 10 years ago. Your vlogs really bring back so many memories! As for the food, I prefer Chinese starters myself, just need more ribs!

Hey guys, you can a!ways tell a good restaurant if actual Chinese people are eating there, if not could be a problem!!!! But love Chinese food, always go to sticky ribs, egg foo young, sweet and sour battered pork or chicken depending, special rice with some prawns. And huge pile of crackers too!!! Green tea to go with, yum Paula In Sussex

Hi Darren, love looking round London with you. we normally visit the capital at least once or twice a year and normally stay in Kensington area but have also stayed in Greenwich and Surrey quays/odessa wharf its a while since we have been to it but the best Indian resteraunt we vivited was in Covent garden. THE MASALA ZONE . just on the corner opposite the Royal opera House.ots of marionets hanging from the ceiling. The food was amazing, you could taste every spice and ingredient , the price was good too. If you haven't been maybe give it a try and see if it's still as good. Take care and keep up the great vlogs

Dear Dazza and Mac, I also love Chinese starters but prefer Indian mains. What I really would like is what you two just had followed by Chicken Bhuna and a Peshwari Naan, wonder if there is anywhere that could do that.
I have been to several 'International Cuisine' buffets which served top quality food from all over the world. You could mix and match from a large choice of Japanese, Thai, Indian, Chinese and Italian dishes .... all on the same plate if you wanted!

@@martindance5542 I have been to very good 'International Buffets' in Bristol and Southampton so I guess they are in most large cities in the UK. I usually start off with the Chinese crispy duck, then a bit of sushi, moving onto the Thai and Indian selections, finish off with Italian gelato ... perfect meal!
