  • Procrastination as a pre-med or medical student will hold you back. A big part of being successful is learning to overcome laziness and putting things off. Procrastination is one of the biggest enemies of productivity and success in medicine. In this video I show you how to beat procrastination and start studying when you don't feel like it.
    Pens I used: geni.us/cgBEfE
Here are three principles to help you start and maintain productive studying:
    1. Location/Environment
    2. Starting is the hardest part
    3. Taking breaks properly

    To summarise:
    I. Proper environment-free, from distractions, where you can focus completely. Lock up your phones and Pcs if you have to.
Il. Just start. Start by working for 5 mins. 90% you can keep goiing, because you'll enjoy what you're doing.
III. Breaks- in 30 to 60 min intervals
    - 5 to 10 mins depending on the duration you wish to keep going.
IV. Pomodoro: (25 mins work, 5 mins break) x 4 20 mins break afterward- One pomodoro cycle.

I do something similar to the pomodoro when I'm studying. I do 45 minutes on, 15 off 3 times. So it's a 3hr chunk of time, then I take a break of at least an hour. I've found that this lets me get work done without too much burnout, and my schedule for the day is done in 3 hour chunks so it fits nicely

New subbie here! Really enjoying your videos! This might be a silly question, but I am someone who actually struggles with 'What to do during a break' My problem is I unfortunately tend to do things like go on social media, if its a short break, or check my email. If it's a longer break, maybe a 'quick' 30min Netflix show (this never ends well). So I wanted to ask if you have any tips or recommendations or productive things to do during a break to clear my mind but not derail my studying momentum? Thanks Jay!

    • @grouch314
      @grouch314 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

MD2BEintraining I like to putter around, straighten things up, make a drink, do some washing up etc. I don't check my phone/social media because I get sucked into it

What To Expect During A Biomagnetic Pair Treatment
When you have your Biomagnetic Pair treatment you will find that its one of the least invasive therapeutic procedures you have ever experienced. You will remain fully clothed and lie on the therapist’s treatment table. Its best to wear comfortable clothing and shoes, preferably made from natural fibers. Your feet will extend over the edge of the treatment table. As the therapist begins to scan your body it is advisable that you relax and think only about your condition. The therapist will diagnose your condition using a variation of muscle testing. This is often referred to as Bioenergetic diagnosis.
Its important to know that Biomagnetic Pair Therapy, differs from many other forms of holistic and alternative therapies, in that goes right to the source of the problem. The patient’s entire body, all organs, glands, bones and muscles are scanned for pH imbalances. When these are identified, your therapist will place magnets of either + or - polarity onto the unbalanced areas in order to re-establish a balanced and neutral pH.A session lasts from 90 to 120 minutes.
While many conditions improve after only one session, a complete course of treatment usually requires between 3 - 5 sessions. Some individuals may need more. Biomagnetic therapy produces no side effects and there are no known side effects or contraindications. It can be combined with other treatment, alopathic or alternative treatment.

It really depends. If we have to write a lot in a short time, our handwriting is shitty af. But if we're making notes and stuff; most of us have average to decent handwriting.
Just putting it out there. I get that it's a joke.
