Let me know if you listen to Logic, how this album is sonically compared to his other albums. Does he stay in this lane? Or does he go in other directions in other albums??
Definitely goes in other directions. I’d say the incredible true story maybe his best sonically but no pressure and young Sinatra are also just as great
He has a lot of different sounds one of my personal favorites is the soundtrack he did for his fiction novel supermarket where he experiments with more of an Indie pop/rock sound and I think pulls it off very well for being mainly a rapper
definitely react to the incredible true story! also not sure if you caught it but the track "nikki" is talking about cigarettes (nicotine) and his struggles with addiction, in the context of a relationship with a woman
Logics best work, and one of my most favorite hip hop albums of all time, the incredible true story, is a must listen hip hop album from the 2010s. It's a space themed concept album, and it's fantastic.
I like to keep people guessing what's gonna come next hahaha. I have a whole list I keep and work my way through, some albums have been on their a loooong time...like this one.
Honestly his best work strictly from a sonic standpoint is Everybody imo. The sound and production on that album is fucking amazing. It sucks that the concept completely flopped though. So much wasted potential.
@@bigjohnboatright3811 Of course it is. T.I.T.S is my favourite Logic project along with No Pressure. I just find Everybody's sound/instrumental palette beautiful. The album as whole is just okay though.
This was unexpected! One of my favourite albums of all time, holds such a special place in my heart. Although I'd say his second album The Incredible True Story is his true masterpiece. The production leveled up on that one and it's such a cool concept album
No one in this comment section seems to be mentioning Logic's latest album, Vinyl Days. It's an absolutely phenomenal piece of work, and it's definitely one of his best records to date.
As a Logic super fan, I feel like even though this was Logic’s first studio album and it most people see it as his best work, I think this album felt like he was trying to be Kendrick. He’s since admitted that this album was heavily influenced by good kid maad city, and for me his best album is the follow up, The Incredible True Story. We finally get to see Logic’s imagination and humor on that album.
OH YES THANK YOU. You’re right, while I was listening I kept thinking “this feels familiar in a sense” and THAT is why. Especially in the arrangements of the music I can see some good kid maad city influence. I couldn’t pin it down while listening but now a light bulb is on lol.
Agreed. Many say this is his best, but personally I think his best is The Incredible True Story, it really feels like him being authentic. I like No Pressure and Vinyl Days better than this one, too.
This makes so much sense. I was so young decade ago when i first heard both artists. "under pressure" (the track) feels like he was trying to do "sing about me" by kendrick with them rapping from the perspectives of these two people close to them. Just never looked at them side by side until now.
Lol I did not expect this. Under Pressure heavily influenced by gkmc, however TITS has a futuristic based sound. No Pressure was his redemption album from the inconsistencies hes had in his discog
This album means the world to me. It helped me pit a lot during my last year of high school since I didn't know how college was gonna be. I always feel nostalgic listening to it due to that.
Loved this reaction. You just earned a new subscriber. I grew up a huge Logic fan, so this was great to watch. Love your perspective on the music. Please listen to his second album after this. It’s called The Incredible True Story. Would absolutely love if you keep the Logic reactions coming.
I loved this reaction. Your perspective and breakdown was very interesting. I'mma subscribe fr right now. Under Pressure holds a very special place in my heart. Not only was it my real introduccion to HipHop, but it drop at a time where I really needed something I could relate too. 2014 was a difficult and odd year for me at 13, having lost people, lost mentor figures and friends, relationship problems, school problems, but most importantly I felt lost. UnderPressure was a reminder that I wasn't alone in these situations/feelings and that I had to push through the hard times so that I could enjoy the good times. Its deeper than that but yeah... . . If you want to keep listening/reacting to Logic , I could give you a coulple of suggestions. If you want a follow up of "Under Pressure" go for "No Pressure". Same concept but after the fame, depression, personal issues, etc. I love No Pressure because its open, personal and relatable in a lot of ways, but its also a love letter to HipHop. IMO it has his best lyrics and flows. Super dope. My personal favorite project from Logic, and one that motivates me as an artists, is "The Incredible True Story". Its a SciFi audio story with skits and a deeper message behind it. Really original and dope. I definetly recommend this one for a follow up video on Logic before listening to No Pressure (In the album theres a song that recaps the story of T.I.T.S.)
This album is so highly valued by fanbase, an underrated masterpiece🔥. Incredible true story is a perfect follow up to this album. Another great reaction❤️🔥
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do The Incredible True Story almost everyone has that and Under Pressure tied as their favorite!!! so hard to pick which one is better
I think an album you might enjoy is care for me from Saba, talks about his struggles in life along with the loss of someone close to him, don’t want to really spoil it but highly recommend
Didn't see this reaction coming honestly but I still love this album. I'm Gone and Under Pressure are my favorite songs on this album. Glad you did this! Was wondering if you had also planned on listening to either No Pressure or Young Sinatra by logic? Unrelated but a review of Luv 4 Rent by Smino would be awesome to see as well!!
My favorite album from Logic is named “The Incredible True Story” in my personal opinion that is his magnum opus it was basically a sci-fi/space themed album & it was perfect for him.
I know you must be extremely busy with all the creating you do, and I really like your initial responses to all of the great music out there. I still can't wait for the day you hopefully get to experience the content from my favorite artist, naturally. I'm suggesting Lupe Fiasco projects Food and Liquor, The Cool, Drogas Wave, and Tetsuo and Youth. In the order of what I think are his bests. I hope you are ready for the undertaking however. Lupe concepts rival and mirror the impact and importance that are seen in To pimp a butterfly. I honestly don't think TBAP would exist without Lupe. I wish everyone well!
Logic was the first artist i ever really got into, and i started listening a couple years before he got signed to Def Jam. i say this is probably his best album next to Vinyl Days. i still love his mixtapes to this day and like a lot of artists, i feel like his older stuff is the best. The Incredible True Story was good too
@@natea8911 No Pressure was really good too, but honestly i prefer Vinyl Days over it. and T.I.T.S. was the first album i ever bought a physical copy of. my top 5 for Logic probably goes Under Pressure, Vinyl Days, T.I.T.S., No Pressure, YSIV not including the mixtapes
If you wanna try some Logic again, You could try No Preassure wich like the sequel of Under preassure and was his "last album" Before retiring for like a year and then comming back as an independent artist (lol). Another good album you could try is Vynil Days, wich I think has a different style
As ive gotten older i think this album and his second album are the best, after that… his other albums have good elements but i didn’t necessarily connect with them. And it just gets worse and worse as he goes on, in my personal opinion. But 🤷🏻♂️ ive seen others who like his new stuff
Yeah, I mentioned in another comment that I wondered at the end of the song “Nikki” if it was a girl, and he was saying nicotine as a play on words orrrr if it was nicotine the whole time. Lol.
Logic = Versatility Logic has mixtapes before this album and has albums after this one that all range in different styles. His one to always change it up. Has project/song for every occasion. He definitely has that raw hiphop style lyricism but also ventures off too pop/singy and more mainstream sound throughout his career. As a fan, I respect it. Its nice cus i find myself thinking at time’s especially on long road trips “what kind of logic do i want to listen to today” So to ur answer one of ur questions. He does not stay consistent to this style of rapping and production. I would really recommend watching some of his interviews when time allows. He has Good music his a good human with good morals. Its hard to hate the guy
His only albums worst checking out tbh are this, the incredible true story (my favorite) and No Pressure, which some consider his best. Vinyl Days is also decent. Apart from those albums, Logic is just incredibly inconsistent and while he’s got some great songs on almost all of his albums, they are often weighed down by some terrible songs.

This and The Incredible True Story are hip hop masterpieces
People hate on his discography because of some misses later on in his career but from YS1 to BT1 all were top tier projects imo
Listening to No Pressure after this would fit very well. You can look at it as a sequel to Under Pressure.
Glad you did Logic, he’s really underrated
you HAVE to listen to The Incredible True Story next, imo its his best work sonically. I think you would enjoy it
