I trust you Alex in getting this running and repairing it.
I agree, it is a huge task, but you seem like you are up for it! You saved George, you can save this classic Morris Minor!

Grey video Alex and keep boshing them out when you can, people seem to be loving this series like myself! You know what your doing with that engine and I find it interesting to watch. Well done again.

Great to see some Morris Minor action, keep up the good work 👍
Be careful with that offside chassis leg rot, very close to the torsion bar eye bolt area.
    Keep them coming 👍

Lovely Jubbly video, it's definitely progress and clean fresh fuel just might do the trick if its got compression. This channel also deserves more subscribers matey so keep up the good work.

Morris Minors never had mechanical fuel pumps, always SU electric ones and SU carbs. Austins with the same engines had mechanical ones (A30, A35, A40 Mk 1 etc) and Zenith carbs. Also, turning the engine is much easier if you use the starting handle. When I started as a mechanic you could still buy a new one of these, I've worked on hundreds of them. I was a bit concerned about the big flash at the points, usually indicates a weak condenser. It should be a small flash, but at least it had the original Lucas points and not the later 'Quickfit' ones which weren't so good.

That doesn't look like an after market fuel pump, It looks like a standard-fitted SU pump.

Great video, but be careful what your wearing , those hoodie ties could get caught up in the engine 😮

I did think that as I was leaning over the engine :)

Sounds promising on the engine side, methodical progress and eventually it will run, easy start or fresh super unleaded I think…. ? But man alive I’m not going to lie that welding is looking expensive you’re in for 10k at least…. that cockerel is like the dog by my house that barks when I press record 😂 how does it know?

The engine is the least of your problems with a Morrie.

Please Please Please never go near an engine with long hair or things dangling from your clothes!! they get caught into moving engine parts and you will die when your head gets pulled into the engine!!!
