I think the rear seats might work okay - modify the fittings or swatch the material across … assuming a loose fit over the foam padding. Stay lucky!

Nice to see you back. Would it not have been easier to give the seats a good scrub before fitting them? Also, would have made it easier to change the dash too - more room to move. Keep plodding on.

Nice informative video - thanks for your clear instructions The seats in my wife's 2095 Renault Scenic are removable - I took them out for the first time recently and struggled to carry them - with built in seatbelt clips and the extra strength that requires means they are crazy heavy The drivers seat always had blanks in place of grab handles in older cars - in the Scenic it has a glasses holder instead! Creative use of the space! All the best, hope you can get the rear seats to fit

I have seen that it has not only been cold but snow❄️🌨️. No one wants to work outside with less than ideal conditions. I'm just glad you are back, Alex, and that the Talbot has not only been working out well, that you are also trying to improve it to make it more livable, and enjoyable! Had an Allegro 1750cc special in blue with a blue vinyl roof in early 80s it was S reg which made it a 77 model if I remember correct, car was really fast for them times shame I don't still have it

I think that red mk 2 cortina was the star of salvage hunter ( classic cars) it a sa import hence the strange decals

I've got one of these 98 zetec 1.2 , had it a good couple of years and love them , mine had 36,000 when I first had it now it has 51,000 on it , runs like a dream , down side is those rear arches and sills but when summer comes I'm getting those sorted , in fact I went back to retro cars because I don't like the idea of my up to date dashboard lighting up like a Christmas tree 😀, no electric mirrors, windows, A.C. , still got radio cassette in car works perfectly fine , replaced lots of parts over time , looking at it now really didn't need to but for 26 years old thought I'd do them anyway, took middle box off it , put straight pipe to rear standard exaust, sounds lovely, if this one went or anything happened to it I'd get another without thinking about it , zetec engine much better than push rod endura but if your not doing long distance motorways everyday they're great little cars 😊, Oh yes there's thinking about it better front light bulbs in main , dip , side that lights up the road much better on a night than standard, so yeah enjoying it and certainly be having another mk4

Would love to know what became of my dad's beetle and a car I grew up with rod 588n, from what can gather its been off the road for years I hope it's tucked away in a garage somewhere waiting for restoration.but sadly I think it's in the scrap yard of the sky

You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off ... Is George your first zero door Allegro? Progress looks great - Chris has done a great job on the passenger door From memory, the screws holding the window winders on the Allegro were made of cheese - no matter how careful unscrewing the heads rounded off - I think the Maestro used the same screws to hold the trim behind the door lever

You was lucky that George didn't need welding and to be fair I've done welding and fabrication for 25 years and it would of taken me a while to get right as it's thin and easy to warp when welding and don't blame you on getting a person who knows wat they are doing I can't stand spraying as it never lands up right 😂

I had a Talbot Alpine back in the late 1980s, I drove the green one and had a purple one I robbed for spares, it finally went to the scrapyard when it set itself on fire on Bognor Regis seafront.....
