These young ones don't know it now but these are memories that they will look back on and smile that there parents were encouraging and supporting them to do this and pass it along to another generation well done kiddos.
Great comments on muzzleloading, and interviewing young gunsmiths, and powder horn maker. I've watching the build you did on the Hawking Gemmer, I really would like to get it but the time you put into the details is something that is holding me back. I know you said that you can put in as much time as you want into the details but, I really am the type of person that really enjoys going into the fine details. That's what makes is stand out from the ones that are slapped together and ready to shoot, and after I finish it believe me I will be using it. I already own a Black powder gun, and rifle.
Once again a great video!!! Thanks for highlighting the kids! Just seeing them might inspire some more kids to try or motivate us "older" folk. Keep up the awesome work, Ethan!!
Great video, really like the kids interviews. I have the pleasure of knowing Kallie and Kennedy and their parents, those girls are the real deal when it comes to building and shooting.
Awesome tour and interviews with the young'ns. You are a true ambassador to our heritage and the sport of blackpowder. Thanks for sharing this with us Ethan. With the fire bans and the woods closed down here in Washington state I still have not been able to shoot my new flintlock. It's driving me nuts but it is what it is.
Some of these guns have such beautiful wood. Like these fabulous grain patterns. Is it just luck when buying a kit, do you pay extra, or certain companies sell them? They must be expensive pieces of wood?
loved this segment and the series on building your Traditions Hawken. keep up the good work. getting ready for the NH muzzleloader season, after being away for 20 years, need to fond local muzzleloader folks and organizations thx Jim
Hi Thomas, thanks for the kind words. I'm not too familiar with Arizona and it's muzzleloading event schedule. I know Steve Sells of TraditionalMuzzleloader.com covers a lot of events in that area.
Thank you for sharing Scott, this helps me round out where it's available. The price you are seeing is consistent with Cabelas. For some reason they are charging 10-$15 more than other retailers.
Wow that 11 year old girl’s .50 cal build was amazing! My oldest kid is 7, dad might need to step up his parenting game and buy a few kits for the little ones!! Ahaha
Manual arts training was big in the school system , boys & girl scouting , YMCA , etc. for most all of the 20th century !!! Where did it go !!! I know where , but why say anything & make a target of myself !!!
I'm new to the whole muzzleloading scene but why does Kentucky have going on because I don't hear much I hear a lot about Pennsylvania and Indiana so I'm just curious
In the hustle to get this video out, I misread Ray Antosh's name on his card as Roy, very sorry Ray!
Did anyone here go this year? I was there on Sunday afternoon, wonderful weather and lots of great craftsmanship on display. Enjoyed my day for sure.
I was at Dixon’s years ago. It was great preservation of history. Thanks for sharing. I’m glad that there are people still saving this old art form

Wonderful Tom! Thank you! Hope you can make it!
That dog lock rifle/smooth! Does the maker export rifles or at the very least a lock?
When and where would be the next show like this?
I sure love your videos. Do you know of any events in Arizona..
Hi Thomas, thanks for the kind words. I'm not too familiar with Arizona and it's muzzleloading event schedule. I know Steve Sells of TraditionalMuzzleloader.com covers a lot of events in that area.
When will you upload the 2022 CLR videos? Would love to see what was there. Thank You
Starting next week! Thanks for asking
This is off topic but I went to Cabela's today. They had BlackHorn powder in stock. $65.00 for only 8 ounces.
I am in League City TX, BTW south of Houston. Not sure if it is that price everywhere.

@@ILoveMuzzleloading you're welcome

You should! I hear the Chambers Little Fella is a great one to start with. Definitely one I'm planning on for my little girl.
Ooo that sounds very cool. However I was thinking more in the price range of a midway USA hawken kit.
Awesome video
Glad you enjoyed it
Has a date been set for the 2023 show?
I'm waiting on confirmation, but it's usually the 2-3rd week in August.
