This was very good however i needed sum or max by date by sales person. I ended up having to burn three queries to get there. Max by date, max by Sales person then used your All Rows technique to e technique to expose the date on sales by person. Then did join on sales amount and date and got there. Very convoluted.

Very nice! Will save me a lot of time this one. So far I've always done all rows => expand => filter by [ID] = [expandedID] and [maxvalue] = [expandedvalue], but this is so much faster, thank you! :-)
Sir Rick, if sales number(max) repeats for two different name then table.max won't return both name and product details...maybe list.max can help....but I got stuck,,,

It depends what you want to do. If you want to group and show the top 3 Sellers as comma separated values, you can use
gorilla.bi/power-query/aggregate-text-values/
Just max sure to filter that list to the List.Firstn( list, 3)
Before combining it.
Or you can add an index column to all grouped table objects, expand all, and filter on index
