I have one of these with 3 batteries. All 3 consistenly give '2 hours' battery life, nowhere near 3 hours. The mounts are not very good, but do work. Video quality is respectable. There's not much image distortion unless you're viewing objects very close and most others do the same with an equal wide angle. The best design aspects are the interchangeabe batteries which have the micro sd card included. This means you can change to a new battery with sd card in a few seconds without any faffing about with changing the sd card also. The spare batteries also have their own special holders so you can just chuck 'em in a bag until ready to use. Plus as stated downloading videos and re-charging each battery is so easy, no cables needed at all, the integral USB connector just plugs in to your pc/laptop. Don't think they're available any more and spares are hard to obtain. If you can get one cheap with spare batteries it's worth it.
Seems to me it doesn't match up to hero4, it beats it. I'm not after the best vid or picture quality, instead the smaller profile into the wind, being able to plug in an ext mic, and 1/3 less cost, and plugging in a fully charged battery all put this ahead of the 4 for me.

No - with test footage I do not perform any colour grading or touch-ups at all - just as it is from the camera, imported into FCPX, and then exported to TH-cam.....

Yes, you can get adapters for gopro easily and then use all gopro mounts (which happen to be much cheaper and more easily than Tomtom's at least here in Belgium...)

It guiles me that I sold my old camera to pay for this! None of the TomTom cameras made it off my kitchen table let alone experience the brutality of a bike. It is still an ongoing refund issue with TomTom more than 2 months later. Customer care after the sale does not exist. The software is very poor too. Utter rubbish. Photospecialist should be very wary of this product in my opinion.
Good Cam but mine detached itself from my helmet yesterday, despite being attached with the official stickers and clip. Smashed all over the road. Do not believe the hype of the 3M stickers. £ 200 all over the motorway. And i was doing about 65 mph. Never again.
I am having a similar problem getting the camera out of the box - glad to see that I am not the only way frustrated. Will call TomTom - this leaves a TERRIBLE first impression of the product!

Používám na kole i na motorce ale je to děs. + vzhled klasické kamery + super zvuk + velikost podporované karty ( pro mne dostačující 128Gb ) + jednoduché ovládání + vodotěsnost bez nutnosti používat obal ( až na kryt objektivu ten je výměnný takže +) + čtení a nabíjení přes USB port + ukazatel nabití baterie na LCD i na bloku baterie + v premium packu který mám bohaté množství různých uchycení + dálkové ovládání start/stop + 1900 mAh baterie + zpomalené nahrávání, časosběr atd.... + GPS , WIFI, tepová frekvence atd...... + čeština ( tedy alespoň Já mám češtinu ) - absence závitu na stativ ! - naklápění kamery do stran nedrží celý mechanismus jde moc zlehka a to že máte video nakřivo nebo se kamera pohnula při ovládání zjistíte bohužel vždy pozdě a potom máte celé pracně natočené a neopakovatelné video na hov.. teda nakřivo ! - váha - zřejmě olověná baterie - ztráta kvality - vlastně zvuku při použití vodotěsného krytu objektivu - uchycení je děs nelze kombinovat s již nalepeným standardním zásuvným uchycením jiných výrobců - jediné alespoň pro mne rozlišení je 1080/60 fps ostatní formáty jsou zřejmě jenom hloupý žert - nabíjecí kabel s nestandardní koncovkou takže kolik kabelů sebou musíte mít tento rozhodně ano protože vám ho nikdo nepůjčí protože ho jednoduše nemá - nemožnost koupě samotné baterie protože je integrována do čtecího modulu a to jsou jiné peníze a za ně dnes už koupíte celou kameru! ( A co jako?! ) - samotný mechanizmus uchycení na dva narážecí trny a naklápění je tak volný že při jízdě přenáší zvuk vibrací přímo na tělo kamery takže máte tak dominantní zvuk že jsem jednou už málem s tou kamerou praštil o zem, potom jsem si ale uvědomil co mě stála a to jí zachránilo život. Leží mi doma a lituji koupě. " Inženýr" který navrhl tyto mechanismy musel mít minimálně pět vysokých škol ! Kamera je vhodná aby v klidu ležela doma na poličce a natáčela roh místnosti. Přestože má kamera mnoho nezanedbatelných funkcí tak i přesto utraťte své peníze smysluplněji.
Come to the main point. Cannot be paired to your phone so cannot control the settings via the App. Do not buy a TOM TOM absolutely crap. Let down to every customer . Tried downloading every possible application to update the version of the camera. This is to enable the compatibility of the camera to a mobile phone of the latest version. NO GO. Bandit studio not available. Piece of paperweight.
#tomtombandit absolute POS. Heavy, the camera tilts on its own with fast driving/riding. MIC quality is appalling. No ability to take picture when recording. Buttons are hard to push. Body gets easily scratched.

I understand this camera is 2 years old. 4K 15fps and no stabilization are deal breakers.

Yes, you can get adapters for gopro easily and then use all gopro mounts (which happen to be much cheaper and more easily than Tomtom's at least here in Belgium...)
