Saw him at a steakhouse about 10 years ago in Manhattan. He was there with someone with publicist vibes. We made eye contact a few times and he could tell I recognized him and he didn’t want any part of me walking over lol. He looked great.
I remember when he was floating in the air and his lips touched the ceiling. He has beautiful lips and face. I was in my teens and he was my number one crush. lol

I was 10 years old when that movie came out. I had the biggest crush on Jamie Gertz after that movie. The Lost Boys is still one of my all time favorites. That movie alone made me want to live by the boardwalk or close to one. Still never got to visit Santa Cruz which is one of my bucket list items.

Through the Iron Man movies, Avengers, and Guardians they were making decent films that explored new directions. It's easy to forget about that since most of the second half made were bad, formulaic without telling good stories.

I was 7 the first time I watched the movie, 35 years later it's Still my favorite movie. There is truth in what he says pertaining to how TLB wasn't hyped nor over hyped up like movies today. Entirely to many movies get over hyped and the viewer is left disappointed with the end product.

I later saw him in the film After Dark my sweet .He had a nude scene and looked great .I know i saw some of his other films, ,Rush ,Your friends and Neighbors, and The Journey of August King .He has always been an excellent actor who does quality stuff.

I've seen so many of these interviews with Jason about this movie. Him with the cast, him with Kiefer,and him with others from the movie. He gives off the feeling that he'd really rather be somewhere else but his star has faded a bit and there's a lot of money in doing these interviews and Comic Con appearances. The only reason that Jason got involved is because the director agreed to give him an incredible amount of input on the film, rewrites,and scenes. So in actually, this movie was partly directed by Jason Patrick. He's more of a character actor. He'd rather be in them art house types of movies. The Lost Boys for him was something he wanted no part of at all and it became a surprise hit and definitely the role that he's most recognized for. And you can tell he hates that fact as an actor who is very serious. And he just has to go with it at this point because he needs the money and he's making good money for being in the movie that he really disliked doing the most because he obviously thought it was very stupid. If you look at the movies he's been in aside from Lost Boys, you can see that he's more of a very serious actors. If Joel wasn't persistent as he was with Jason he wouldn't have been in this movie at all. And it may have been very different.

He's so spot on, i remember stumbling across it at some ppls house as i was a 10 yr old in 89 or around there. they were watching it and i will never forget that moment. My dad was doing a quoet at this guys place and they asked me if I wanted to watch with them. Wow im glad he articulated it in words i couldn't tbh.

seeing the movie and loving it is one thing…..BUT i think you have had to live there in santa cruz… or have spent significant time there in the late 80,s early 90’s to understand the energy, the uniqueness of santa cruz, the diverse transient younger generation on the boardwalk….. i think if you felt that…if you lived that…had been right in the middle of the culture…. ….the absolute magic and genius of the lost boys would definitely be much more appreciated and understood on a whole new level… 👍🏻

His interview etiquette could use a lot of work. He is kinda crass and negative on camera, which I’m sure the studio execs pay attention to. Perhaps this is part of the reason we don’t see Mr. Patric in big budget films anymore. Too much of a risk.
Wrong. I think you’re not understanding that there’s other things going on in the background that are distracting. He’s not the only person being interviewed and the room isn’t fully focused on him. Have u ever been interviewed and can see ppl milling about. That’s why the interviewer is saying what the Q’s are. Jason cannot hear.
And what's that got to do with the price of tea in China? Corey was addicted to opiates, not alcohol. It was his addiction to smack that damaged his heart so badly it could no longer properly function, especially when faced with an illness straining its ability to pump adequate blood while beating in proper rythm. Surely you aren't insinuating that the actors from this movie should all alter their personal drinking habits in fear of some remote possibility that a fan might find that distasteful or somehow harmful to Cory's legacy? Maybe, and this is a huge maybe, if Jason was a raging alcoholic and $hitface drunk on stage - incapable of enunciating his words clearly and drooling on himself - then perhaps it would be a fitting time to lament he may end up dying like Corey if he doesn't get clean soon. But you're grasping at imaginary straws - desperately trying to come up with a way to be offended in Corey's honor - by insinuating that Jason's being thoughtless or essentially flipping the bird in the face of fate because we saw him kill a single beer. Corey made his own decisions into adulthood, as did the rest of the cast. If you're looking to point fingers, you should start and end with Corey's mother and Corey's abuser. I agree and disagree. Without Corey, Cory wouldn’t of been as popular together and done the things they did that WERE BOTH THEIR BLAME. Cory had a family, parents, esp his mother. She aided in his lifestyle. He emancipated himself and lived on his own at 16. He DIDNT want help and he didn’t seem to have a problem in the 80’s w/Corey. Cory had a ‘problem’ when he lost his fame and respect of producers, but I think Feldman has done that to HIMSELF since Haim’s passing. (Even before). In the end, the Two Corey’s were horrible for each other, but had they never met, we wouldn’t of seen Cory in the film roles they got FOR BEING THEM. Feldman is a freak NOW, tho, but you can’t blame Cory’s life on Feldman. Cory started using drugs before Feldman and used more than he did. His mom was also not exactly strict nor did she try to get him help.
I have to admit you are right. He stands out the least. It just wasn't really a good fit for him. Now the movie Rush he was absolutely brilliant in it.
He was a little flat but he was fine. The movie wouldn't have worked as well if he had been set up as an active lead instead of the central character mostly reacting to others.

His interview etiquette could use a lot of work. He is kinda crass and negative on camera, which I’m sure the studio execs pay attention to. Perhaps this is part of the reason we don’t see Mr. Patric in big budget films anymore. Too much of a risk.
Wrong. I think you’re not understanding that there’s other things going on in the background that are distracting. He’s not the only person being interviewed and the room isn’t fully focused on him. Have u ever been interviewed and can see ppl milling about. That’s why the interviewer is saying what the Q’s are. Jason cannot hear.
I found his answers relatable as hell. Good on him for saying what he feels and not what others think he should say!

And what's that got to do with the price of tea in China? Corey was addicted to opiates, not alcohol. It was his addiction to smack that damaged his heart so badly it could no longer properly function, especially when faced with an illness straining its ability to pump adequate blood while beating in proper rythm. Surely you aren't insinuating that the actors from this movie should all alter their personal drinking habits in fear of some remote possibility that a fan might find that distasteful or somehow harmful to Cory's legacy? Maybe, and this is a huge maybe, if Jason was a raging alcoholic and $hitface drunk on stage - incapable of enunciating his words clearly and drooling on himself - then perhaps it would be a fitting time to lament he may end up dying like Corey if he doesn't get clean soon. But you're grasping at imaginary straws - desperately trying to come up with a way to be offended in Corey's honor - by insinuating that Jason's being thoughtless or essentially flipping the bird in the face of fate because we saw him kill a single beer. Corey made his own decisions into adulthood, as did the rest of the cast. If you're looking to point fingers, you should start and end with Corey's mother and Corey's abuser. Outside of the people who enabled him and emotionally scarred him, Corey's the only person to blame for his addiction. And I say that as someone who has 15yrs of sobriety under my belt & someone who was obsessed with Corey Haim back in the day. Don't go looking for smoke where there is no fire.

I agree and disagree. Without Corey, Cory wouldn’t of been as popular together and done the things they did that WERE BOTH THEIR BLAME. Cory had a family, parents, esp his mother. She aided in his lifestyle. He emancipated himself and lived on his own at 16. He DIDNT want help and he didn’t seem to have a problem in the 80’s w/Corey. Cory had a ‘problem’ when he lost his fame and respect of producers, but I think Feldman has done that to HIMSELF since Haim’s passing. (Even before). In the end, the Two Corey’s were horrible for each other, but had they never met, we wouldn’t of seen Cory in the film roles they got FOR BEING THEM. Feldman is a freak NOW, tho, but you can’t blame Cory’s life on Feldman. Cory started using drugs before Feldman and used more than he did. His mom was also not exactly strict nor did she try to get him help.

Unfortunately, this guy is not much of a good storyteller so his interviews are painful to watch if Keifer isn’t by his side.
Jason Patric is the worst thing in Lost Boys he's the only bad thing about it. Lousy actor.
I have to admit you are right. He stands out the least. It just wasn't really a good fit for him. Now the movie Rush he was absolutely brilliant in it.

He was a little flat but he was fine. The movie wouldn't have worked as well if he had been set up as an active lead instead of the central character mostly reacting to others.
Jason’s character wasn’t meant to overshadow the other characters…the movie was more about the actual vampires.
