A mu'min ( believers) must be a Muslim but a Muslim is not necessarily a mu'min ( believers). The requirement for a mu'min ( believer) is to guard his penis or vagina, shalat zakat, amanah and not commit useless acts. Al Mukminun verses 1 to 11.

Maybe it is because Allah is referring to the book that is far above in the sky, because Quran wasn't became a book until prophet's death, sallalohu 'alayhi wa sallam.

Another reason you could say it was revealed to those arabs at that time (in addition to how they were masters of the language) is how they had a culture of memorizing texts like poems rather than writing them down. This was not as common in other nations of that time that used writing, which really helped preserve the Quran in the form of a recitation. This is evident to this day, as millions around the world have it memorized.

      Only share.
There is not a single verse of the Qur'an that mentions that Muslims must go to heaven but mu'min will definitely go to heaven Al Mu'minun ayat 11. Muslim adulterers are not a mu'min even though they are still Muslims. Muslims who do not shalat are not a mu'min even though they are still Muslims. A Muslim who does not pay zakat is not a mu'min even though he is still a Muslim. An untrustworthy Muslim is not a mu'min even though he is still a Muslim. A Muslim who commits useless acts is not a mu'min (believer) even though he is still a Muslim. To reach a higher heaven than a mu'min one must become a Muttaqin and must do Amil Saleh ( Al Birru ) Al Baqarah 177 and az Zumar 20 and Al Baqarah 82.

.The four sins of going to hell without reckoning ( Hisab) and eternally in hell are shirk, adultery, killing, usury, unless you repent, become a mukmin, and do Amil Saleh.
Repentance alone is not enough for the perpetrator of one of the four sins
but must become a mukmin and do Amil Saleh or become Muttaqin Muttaqin Al Furqon 68 69 70 71 and Al Baqarah 275.
Apart from these four sins a person will be brought to account ( Hisab) with Amil and And there is no lineage of descendants in the afterlife al Mu'minun ayat 101 -103.

The reason for the false translation of “ ‏ذلك" in Quran 2:2 as “this” instead of “that” is because translators don’t realize that the word “Kitāb” in the Quran actually means “Law” and even “Covenant” (as it does here) and therefore this verse is referring to the ‘Covenant’ made between God and humankind just before it in Chapter 1 (Al-Fātiha). So we have the Quran starting off with an opening prayer & outline of humanity’s covenant with God (that we will serve Him alone and He will in turn guide us), and it thus starts back up right afterwards (in chapter 2) by declaring *_”THAT (what you just read in the opening chapter) is the Covenant/Law, which without a doubt is a guide for the conscientious!”_*
Besides, the Quran is not a “Book”-it was revealed as an oral revelation (hence the word ‘Quran’ literally means ‘that which is orally recited aloud & often’), and we also get confirmation of this by the fact that God denies having sent it down in paper (Quran 6:7). It’s also why you constantly see the word “Kitāb” and “Quran” being used next to each other, even in the same verse. They are distinct words. That’s because Quran is the actual revelation being recited, while Kitāb mainly refers to the actual Law(s) found within it (although it can be sometimes used as ‘scripture’ or ‘covenant’ or otherwise depending on context). Salam.
*_”This Recitation (Qurān) could not have been come up with by anyone other than God. Rather, it is a verification & fulfillment of what preceded it, and an explanation of the Law (Kitāb)! Without a doubt, it is from the Lord of all worlds!”_* _(Quran 10:37)_

@@muneerahmed4799 Salam Alaikum, yes I am an Arab but this took study & research. I find it important to go back to the roots of the Quran and study it as it is, rather than blindly following modern translations (which nonetheless have some insight & wisdoms for sure). But most translations of the Quran really go astray in my opinion, and this is one example of it. Peace.

No they don't, what a silly claim. Then how is The Quran for everyone?
The real problem is, those who claim to be ethnic Arab's(even though there's no such thing) don't know semetic Arabic anymore. They know standardised post ummayid dictionary Arabic. They have lost the semetic system, which is derived from nature. Sole reason why دين is wrongly translated as religion, when it is actual translation is 'disciplined debt'.

'We never sent any messenger except in the language of his own people to make things clear to them'...Quran Surah Ibrahim.
I have always struggled with this. I have not found a satisfactory answer. This makes sense , the ayat, but then after the last messenger...every one in the world has to learn Arabic. That part is difficult to reconcile with the ayat. Throughout history everyone received the message in their own language , makes perfect sense but the change with the last revelation means the majority of humanity won't get the messenger nor messenger in their own language. Any feed back or explanatory reference is appreciated. Thanks.

Brother, it would be amazing if you could make an online course for Arabic learning. I would certainly join Insh’allah. I can’t really find any good sources to learn Arabic from. They only have courses where they teach you how to make conversations, but I already speak Arabic and know how to have a conversation. I want to go deeper than that in the Arabic language.

On the authority of Umm Haani’ bint Abi Taalib (رضي الله عنها). She said: “The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ , walked past me one day so I said, ‘O Messenger of Allaah, I have become old and weak - or something similar to this - so tell me of a good deed that I can do while I am sitting.’
*He ﷺ said: “Say ‘Subhaan Allaah’ 100 times for it is equivalent to freeing 100 slaves from the offspring of Ismaa‘eel; and say ‘Al-Hamdu li-llaah’ 100 times for it is equivalent to 100 horses saddled with reins ready to carry fighters in the cause of Allaah; and say ‘Allaahu Akbar’ 100 times for it is equivalent to 100 camels slaughtered for the sake of Allaah; and say ‘La Ilaah Illa Allaah’ 100 times.” Ibn Khalaf (the narrator from ‘Aasim) said, “I think he said: ‘…it fills what is between the heavens and the earth,
and on that day out of all the deeds that are risen to Allaah, none will be better than yours except for a person who said what you said.’*

Wow, not only the word dzalika refer al-Quran as a high ranking kitab, it also exclude it from being the book not close to audience in time and place. In other words, the context for al kitab mentioned does not refer to the previous Injil and Taurah, nor some random book out there

I don’t see why the verse can’t be translated as “That is the book...”. It’s Allah talking to Muhammad and telling him “That is the book....” and Muhammad telling others the same thing. It’s a conversational use of “that”, not an intention to point to something far away. It answers the question “What is this book?” I think that’s the context here. “That is a book of which there is no doubt .”

    • @kgdangar2
      @kgdangar2 3 ปีที่แล้ว

he already explained that the word "THAT" in arabic carries different meaning i.e. to give very high status to something. Dont make up things by your own logic

    • @sidrashabbir2721
      @sidrashabbir2721 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Well, the video does tell why “this” is being used instead of “that”, but to explain it further, you could look at it this way.
“That” implies that the book is at a particular distance whether in space or time (in the English language i.e), and “this” implies that the book is something which is close. Since, the Quran wasn’t revealed completely in one go, but instead over the years and it wasn’t until the rule of Caliph Abu Bakar RA, that it was written down. So if Hazrat Muhammad PBUH were to tell people about the word of Allah, he PBUH would mention it by saying “this” instead of “that” because he wasn’t pointing towards a particular book, but instead the recent verses that were revealed.
Also, there’s the lost in translation thing that the narrator is talking about. A word in one language can’t necessarily be translated into another (specially for a language as vast as arabic in which a single word may hold many different meanings and similarly, a word may have many different synonyms. Eg. The word lion has many synonyms in Arabic I believe such as اسد or حیدر). So similarly, the word “ذالك” may have different meanings in the Arabic language, but the use of the word (and what it means) can only be depicted in the context and like I said, the context can’t always be translated to the brink and the next best alternative is used in translation to preserve the meaning of the text.
So I hope that clears your point.

      Term of Muttaqin

Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are Muttaqin."
      (QS. Al-Baqara 2: Verse 177)
The mu'min and do Amil Saleh also called Muttaqin Sad 28.
Muttaqin must be a mukmin but a mukmin is not necessarily a muttaqin. Muttaqin is also known as Waliyullah Yunus 62 63
.The four sins of going to hell without reckoning ( Hisab) and eternally in hell are shirk, adultery, killing, usury, unless you repent, become a mukmin, and do Amil Saleh.

Ameen. Ameen. Ameen. I'm just a student of this Master and Quranic teacher. Though, I am Sunni, Hanafi. I certainly know how foul and idol driven is the English language and the many vernaculars like mine here in the US. Since Allahu ta ala book and prophet belong to his Ummat and not to Arabs. We mist study the Quraish dialect of the Glorious Qur'an from an Arab. Alhamdullah. A minimum of nine years of daily study, twice a day, will place you out front in The Ummatul Muhammad yeah . But, you must from a Madhhab to reach that goal. Why ? Because teacher's of Islam learned andteach Deenul Islam from outside if a Madhhab. And there is a grand difference in the quality and quantity of the progress. Outside is very slow and inside is the fast track. It's your choice. Ameen.

    Meaning one: usual we

A mu'min ( believers) must be a Muslim but a Muslim is not necessarily a mu'min ( believers). The requirement for a mu'min ( believer) is to guard his penis or vagina, shalat zakat, amanah and not commit useless acts. Al Mukminun verses 1 to 11.
      Term of Muttaqin
      Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said:
"Al Birru ( Amil saleh) is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but Al Birru ( Amil saleh) is [in] one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who] establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle.
      Pillars of Islam :
      An Nissa 136.
      Al Mu'minun 1- 11.
      Al Baqarah 177, 263, 264.

Great video. Amazing channel. But brother, we should avoid calling the Qur'an as holy. As Allah never described his book as holy. He called it the noble Qur'an, the honourable Qur'an etc. And that's how we should call it as well.
    Barakallah feekum

The word " kitab " cannot be translated literally. It refers to the divine revelations sent to Prophets in the past and which are to be completed and perfected by the holy prophet Muhammad , peace be upon him. So the word " kitab" refers to the four series of revelations sent to mankind.

You can form 12 millions of words in Arabic in case you met with unheard of objects if you apply the rules of word formation, and in particular all ten major verb conjugations and derived nouns, to all possible three letter roots and all extant four letter roots. There are not so many words in use even in the highest religious language. I has for all practical purposes about the same number of words as classical French, that is to say not too many but very well-defined ones. Though it has a incredible amount of near synonyms with particular shades of meaning for each concept. Without the Quran the Arabs wouldn't have realized how powerful their language was, because it help fix the language in a very pure form few people had up to then agreed upon.

The Arabs don't really make the nuanced meanings of the Qur'an known to others. Other language speakers are oblivious to the linguistic miracles of the Qur'an because in order to appreciate it you have to be a native Arabic speaker. So, what other miracles are there in the Qur'an which would persuade and convince the non-Arabs to convert?

Whoever is a non-Arab: the meanings of the Qur’an, its rulings, and other aspects of its miracles that he can understand and comprehend are mentioned to him
So he becomes convinced according to his knowledge and understanding that this is not human speech

"That is the Book" is this about Qur'an or KitabunMaknun? I think when this ayat came there were no whole Qur'an,it was just some pages (if arabs don't say book for some pages).

You can't satisfy people who asked this question. If it was revealed in another language, they will still be asking the same question.

      You must check!
English has only a few vocabularies that have the same "equivalent values" with Arabic, and so any other languages.
      For instance:
Does English has the equivalence of the word 'IHSAN'? or "ISLAM"? or "FASIQ" or "ZINDIQ" ?
the answer is absolutely "NO", it doesn't have the equivalence of those words.
That's also one of the evidences, that God (ALLAH) must choose the right language to convey HIS message for humanity.
