Things to consider as this is an older video. A Ghost Leviathan spawns in the northern Blood Kelp zone, which sometimes bugs and clips through the ground of the Grassy Plateaus south of it if the player is present. You then get to deal with it in open waters which is kind of shit. Also the Seatreader's Path has been added leading from the Deef Grand Reef to the the Dunes along the edge of the crater. Leviathan creatures encountered here are the seatreaders, large insect-like tripods that walk along the path. They are friendly as far I'm concerned.
sea treaders aren’t hostile, they are defensive. they’ll only “attack” if you get too close to them, like the gasopods. if you leave them alone, they won’t harm you.
I mostly replay subnautica because of its outstanding world. The world is amazing, incredible and absolutely beautiful. I can play for hours simply to admire how wonderful the world looks. I cruise around in my seamoth just for this purpose. I hope below zero isn’t the last game in the franchise because I wanna see so much more from the world of 4546B. Honestly I hope subnautica gets a spin-off game in the future where you and friends can create and play in randomly generated subnautica worlds. That way the world and everything in it would never get boring, not to mention everything would be randomly generated so everything would be in different places. It would be absolutely perfect.
I LOVE the dead zone even though it scares the hell out of me. Not really. At maximum an hour looking through the wiki, maybe a few hours to write the script, and probably more Time and effort to actually record the audio than to do any of those things.
I once went down in the lava zone with a cyclops and like 20 lava larves got on my cyclops so I had to go back up to the lost river tree area and cut them all off and I got back to my base with 2 percent battery
that was a bruh moment.hopefully you had enough recourses for more power because it sucks grinding for more things, especially when predators are almost everywhere.
Yes because it's the best way to get to the lost River and the kosh zone (what it's called now) has the best source of food and items for food use the bulb bush they give 10 water and 3 foord so get some marble mellons with it then your good
For new players I recommend building your main base in the Grassy Plateaus. The one with the red grass. Close to all early/mid game materials. Few dangeorus predators, close to other biomes with mediocre level of predators, close to kelp forrest for materials and a lot of wrecks for scanning and not too far from your starting postion. Great space to build everything, and a nice view to the peaceful reefbacks that roams there. Outpost in Bulb Zone, for scanning and getting the rest of mid/late game materials so it could be a checkpoint for your Cyclops to enter the Lost River and later the Inactive Lava Zone. Inactive lava Zone is a great place to build for late game materials. In one of the sidelanes (for avoiding the Sea Dragons, and just get rid of all the larvas in the area.) Your second primary base should be the Cyclops. Beside power supply, it can be filled with all you need to build bases or outpost to food and water supply. . Other than that, a tiny resupply outpost around the tree cove is fine before entering the Lava Zones if you are not a fan of using the Cyclops too much. You can totally ignore the Dunes and the mountain as there is only death around there, and all the materials needed can be found easier elsewhere. Main base should contain a bit of everything. Cyclops should contain, food/water, materials, emergency power cells etc. Every outpost should contain, power supply, food and water supply, lockers, scanner room and a Fabricator. At least one window in the structure is strongly adviced.

They sea treaders will attack u with a stomp if u get close enough
sea treaders aren’t hostile, they are defensive. they’ll only “attack” if you get too close to them, like the gasopods. if you leave them alone, they won’t harm you.
God why isn’t there more games that are as good as this game.

The journey going down to "hell" to find Kyanite was awesome and terrifying!
Does anyone wish that in the tree cove, a baby toddler ghost leviathan hatching animatiion out of the tree!
yeah that would be awesome
EvilNecroid But then I would kill it unless you could take it cause it would just cause problems with my base
Better than that, u should be able to smash ur scanner through the glass and get sea dragon egg.
Based on the size of that egg it is safe to say that it would eat you on the spot.
I wish I could take the egg and put it in a bio reactor
The dead zone is my favorite. It's so mysterious.
and terrifying
imagine having your favorite biome as the one that literally has nothing
@@AngryProtoBoi oh hey Jim, enjoying you cage made of my base?

I was in the mushroom forest and suddenly heard "multiple leviathan-class lifeforms detected" I never swam so fast in subnautica beforr
the lost river is my favorite because of the giant skeleton of so called "lost leviathan".
Hint : Every video that has a *Spoiler alert* is gonna be amazing
Thank you for the heart!
You are single handedly the worst person ever.... I love it
Here's all the biomes safe shallows, kelp forest, grassy plateaus, mushroom forest, koosh zone, crash zone, crag field, grand reef, sea treader's path, sparse reef, blood kelp zone, dunes, underwater islands, mountains, jellyshroom cave, lost river, lava zone, mountain island, floating island, and crater edge.
Im gonna go to the kroosh zone cuz idk what it is
I LOVE the dead zone even though it scares the hell out of me. I build a little tiny base on the very edge of the cliff there and built down into the abyss so I could make an observatory and watch the ghost leviathans. I was actually surprised they didn't destroy my base at all but then I heard something blow up... it was my seamoth :( I had to seaglide all the way back to my main base. So spooky
10:18 "...so try to stay away from it..."
Texan sock: hmmm, how about i ride this thing to death with my mech suit?
Heyyy, thanks so much for the time capsule, just realized it was you after I started watching this video and realizing it’s your username backwards. 5 ion batteries is the best gift I could of gotten, I was hoping for just 1 at least😂😁

My time capsule was a thermal knife, mini aroura, water, and a cute cat poster.
I crafted my knife for no reason. At least the battery I used was dead.
Light Gamerboy are you the one that wrote “knife is very important..” or something like that? looks like i got yours!
Oh god i remember what i put in my capsule, if i remember correctly it was a Still Suit and an orange and blue tablet (chances are it wasn’t approved tho since the tablets are endgame asf so my next capsule might be a still suit and some useful minerals or smthn)

i think he showed crag field for like 1 second

Besides of multiple Reaper Leviathans in the mountains and the crash zone...
Acituanbus The sea treaders path is a completely seperate biome
Acituanbus You did mention the caves for those but I heard no mention of sea treaders. I give the video a 7/10
good job on the video, really liked it :D
and my favorite biome is the lost river
Well done I know it took you a long time
Not really. At maximum an hour looking through the wiki, maybe a few hours to write the script, and probably more Time and effort to actually record the audio than to do any of those things.
Do i really need to leave ? Safe Shallows seem like a nice place for home !
6:54 I nearly died by that Ghost Leviathan twice!
Daniel Hanson yep there really annoying I've killed all their children
Oliver Jelinek -_- so that is why i never see my kids in the void
I just realised how amazing you channel name is
Guys should I build a base in the bulb bush zone?
Jason Siafakas it is fine but the bulb bushes will make it hard to build
CyberPlash - you are right, thanx!
Jason Siafakas yes
Do what you want.
Yes because it's the best way to get to the lost River and the kosh zone (what it's called now) has the best source of food and items for food use the bulb bush they give 10 water and 3 foord so get some marble mellons with it then your good
“Detecting multiple leviathan class life forms in the region. Are you certain whatever you’re doing is worth it?”
In one of the sidelanes (for avoiding the Sea Dragons, and just get rid of all the larvas in the area.)
Your second primary base should be the Cyclops.

Didn't you forget the little mesa areas near the crash site?
Matthew Grigg this list is specifically for biomes, not for other area. The crash zone is one of those biomes.
The crash zone mesas is a different zone in the crash zone, true, but I concider it a pseudo or semi biome, and it should have been mentioned at least. To my knowledge, it also has different flora and fauna, including biters.

Blood kelp is my favorite because it's not only terrifying, but it has some kick ass music!
just gonna say just you know BEST OUTRO EVER
I still think my first trip to the mountain was my most terrifying moment. Damn near had a heart attack when the warper got me.

"detecting multiple leviathan class lifeforms in the region are you sure whatever you doing its worth it?"
Isn't the PCF in the Lava Castle, and the Thermal Plant in the Inactive Lava Zone?
According to the Wiki, the Thermal Plant is in the Lava Castle (A Mini-Biome within the ILZ) and the PCF is in the Lava Lakes. (Previously called Active Lava Zone)
8:35 the Dunes are NOT next to the crag field. You need to go though the Sea treader path, grand reef or the sparse reef to access the dunes from the crag field.
You also missed out the mountains biome and crash zone biome but that isn't a problem
Me: Wait, there's more than just safe shallows?
Aci: Always has been.

It would be cool if in the arctic dlc or expansion we saw some of the creatures that were only skeletons in the lost river, would hate to have that giant one roaming around though
RenegadeXO22 you mean the one in the lost river cause that's only a third of its size it says so in a pda entry!
The one in the lost River is half the size of the map
I was looking for fragments and i said some could be behind the ship we a reaper leviathan hogging it all and the first time i went to a alien place reaper jumped out the water i screamed so loud these reapers hate me
No worries, reapers are easy to kill
All you need is caution and the stasis rifle
Ghost leviathans go to the dead zone to turn they final form aka adults
The dead zone only goes down to 10,000 meters then it respawns you at the top in the safe shallows and sometime it will lag you through the ground and put you in the active lava zone
