The 90s were the last decade I was still some kind of "kid" and even if I hit young adulthood in the decade, still lived a carefree life without real "adult adult" problems. Most of my growing up was in the 80s (and yes I love the 80s, and even some of the 70s), but I spent some time growing up in the 90s, graduating high school in 1993, turning 21 in 1996 and buying beer legally, and finishing college in 1999 (yeah it took me 6 years) and just being a teenager/early 20s young person. I really miss that part of my life before 2000.
Exactly. It would be absolutely so hard to create a good fantastic journey for the new millennium. If you exclude some rare great movies like the Harry Potter saga, some Cinecomics, The Lord of The Rings saga, and a few others, the selection would be very very poor. In this 90s journey I chose 225 movies, for the 80s trilogy there are more than 300 movies. But for the new millennium? I think they would be less than 100
@@StarlightVideoProductions Secondo me i film belli ci sono per gli anni 2000 (pur essendo già entrati nell'epoca del "prequel del sequel del reboot del ritorno al pianeta delle scimmie" Cit.), forse c'è un minor trasporto dal punto di vista sentimentale, e questo può rendere il tutto più freddo. Se si parte dall'anno 2000 fino al 2010 si riescono a trovare molti film che hanno lasciato una traccia importante, da Nolan a quelli della Pixar passando per 300, il gladiatore, la tigre e il dragone, avatar, million dollar baby, amelie, minority report, il diavolo veste Prada, il mio grosso grasso matrimonio greco, Zoolander, ecc... Comunque per quanto riguarda gli anni 90' ottimo lavoro!

Ma si certo, è chiaro che bei film ci sono anche negli anni 2000, ma dubito che si riuscirebbe a creare una lista di così tanti film conosciuti al grande pubblico. Considera che con meno di 100 film non si riesce a fare un fantastic journey come Dio comanda.Comunque sia se mai lo farò, sarà sicuramente molto più avanti ;) Ora devo riprendermi dopo più di due mesi di lavoro mostruoso per realizzare questo sugli anni 90 ;)

Born in '83 in East L.A. but now live in Tokyo Japan. This really brings me back to simple time when I was a chicano kid growing up in the 90s. A lot 90s movies really opened my eyes to the world and made me think anything was possible, even for a kid growing up in the barrio of East Los. It also makes me miss my real home as I've lived in Japan for several years. Btw, I would say that this is about half the list of my childhood. I understand because of the soundtrack, these movies were selected. Lots of great movies from black actors and directors too. I also grew with White Men Can't Jump, House Party trilogy, Class Act, Boyz n the Hood, Blue Chips, Dangerous Minds, etc. I can go forever. Not a knock on the video as it's very well done and understands the nostalgia magic of the 90s through film. Maybe next time there can be a video with movies that are hip hop and R&B influenced.

Spot on moment when Sub-Zero enters (the best MK ninja) and even got the World Trade Center in the background from Die Hard with a Vengence. Also the cut away from Arnold as Mr. Freeze to George Clooney in The Peacemaker; wow great! Epic scene of John Goodman in Arachnophobia. Even the blockbuster explosion sequence! I am going to be analyzing this for a while. Def my favorite decade.

There are dozens of "games" in this journey (like in the previous fantastic journey that I've done)! About the World Trade Center, in a first editing, it was (accidentally, believe me) put just after of the plane sequence !! It was too shocking for me to see that planes crashing and at the end seeing the Twin Towers. This is why I moved it near "In the line of the fire" (comparing the two "running" sequence). I'll tell you just one of the dozens connections between the scene: just look at the smiling face of Brad Pitt in "Legends of the Fall" just after... the sequence of "Cool World" !!! ;)

Son strafelice di esser riuscito a creare delle emozioni cosí potenti anche in questo decennio che, sebbene abbia sfornato dei titoli pregiatissimi, non é ai livelli degli anni 80. Del resto il Cinema anni 80 é completamente irraggiungibile ! La canzone degli Aerosmith é strepitosa ed é sempre stata la mia prima scelta. Ha un'impatto pazzesco. Soprattutto poi appena inizia a cantare, la fusione tra sua voce e il volto della Winslet secondo me é perfetto. Quelle note di pianoforte hanno sempre accompagnato nella mia mente il volto di Rose che alza lo sguardo verso il Titanic. E infatti quella é stata la primissima scena che ho inserito. No, I'm sorry but there won't be a second one dedicated to the 90s. This was for me the most difficult fantastic journey to create. For me, the 90s was like a 'last gasp' in terms of originality, high concept, cinematic milestones, performances, visual effects, acting and larger than life characters. After that... it's all been a bit thin and sparse.

Thank you! There are at least other 200 movies from the 90s that I didn't insert. Before making this one I made a list to choose from. But the other movies are not so famous like these one, so it would be a very poor journey, and a weak second chapter. For me, the 90s movies are closed all in this one.

On a personal level, most things happend in the '90s! :-) So I hold it very dearly. As I was 12-22 during the nineties, I lived the decade fully. Being foremost an '80s kid (77' Stockholm, Sweden) though, I experienced the 1980-ies lingured throughout 1992 as it was still surfing the eighties wave. Although the '90s proved to be nearly as awesome as the '80s (in particular until 1997), towards the end of the decade a strange kind of vacuum appeared. Creativity simply slowed down considerably, as if the entire unimaginable transformation of the 20th century was summed up with nothing special to offer the next decade.

The 90s was the last great decade. Creativity and hapiness of humanity was at it's peak.
The 90s were the last decade I was still some kind of "kid" and even if I hit young adulthood in the decade, still lived a carefree life without real "adult adult" problems. Most of my growing up was in the 80s (and yes I love the 80s, and even some of the 70s), but I spent some time growing up in the 90s, graduating high school in 1993, turning 21 in 1996 and buying beer legally, and finishing college in 1999 (yeah it took me 6 years) and just being a teenager/early 20s young person. I really miss that part of my life before 2000.

Exactly. It would be absolutely so hard to create a good fantastic journey for the new millennium. If you exclude some rare great movies like the Harry Potter saga, some Cinecomics, The Lord of The Rings saga, and a few others, the selection would be very very poor. In this 90s journey I chose 225 movies, for the 80s trilogy there are more than 300 movies. But for the new millennium? I think they would be less than 100

Se si parte dall'anno 2000 fino al 2010 si riescono a trovare molti film che hanno lasciato una traccia importante, da Nolan a quelli della Pixar passando per 300, il gladiatore, la tigre e il dragone, avatar, million dollar baby, amelie, minority report, il diavolo veste Prada, il mio grosso grasso matrimonio greco, Zoolander, ecc... Comunque per quanto riguarda gli anni 90' ottimo lavoro!

Born in '83 in East L.A. but now live in Tokyo Japan. This really brings me back to simple time when I was a chicano kid growing up in the 90s. A lot 90s movies really opened my eyes to the world and made me think anything was possible, even for a kid growing up in the barrio of East Los. It also makes me miss my real home as I've lived in Japan for several years.
Btw, I would say that this is about half the list of my childhood. I understand because of the soundtrack, these movies were selected. Lots of great movies from black actors and directors too. I also grew with White Men Can't Jump, House Party trilogy, Class Act, Boyz n the Hood, Blue Chips, Dangerous Minds, etc. I can go forever. Not a knock on the video as it's very well done and understands the nostalgia magic of the 90s through film.
Maybe next time there can be a video with movies that are hip hop and R&B influenced.

Spot on moment when Sub-Zero enters (the best MK ninja) and even got the World Trade Center in the background from Die Hard with a Vengence.
Also the cut away from Arnold as Mr. Freeze to George Clooney in The Peacemaker; wow great! Epic scene of John Goodman in Arachnophobia. Even the blockbuster explosion sequence! I am going to be analyzing this for a while. Def my favorite decade.

There are dozens of "games" in this journey (like in the previous fantastic journey that I've done)! About the World Trade Center, in a first editing, it was (accidentally, believe me) put just after of the plane sequence !! It was too shocking for me to see that planes crashing and at the end seeing the Twin Towers. This is why I moved it near "In the line of the fire" (comparing the two "running" sequence). I'll tell you just one of the dozens connections between the scene: just look at the smiling face of Brad Pitt in "Legends of the Fall" just after... the sequence of "Cool World" !!! ;)

Son strafelice di esser riuscito a creare delle emozioni cosí potenti anche in questo decennio che, sebbene abbia sfornato dei titoli pregiatissimi, non é ai livelli degli anni 80. Del resto il Cinema anni 80 é completamente irraggiungibile ! La canzone degli Aerosmith é strepitosa ed é sempre stata la mia prima scelta. Ha un'impatto pazzesco. Soprattutto poi appena inizia a cantare, la fusione tra sua voce e il volto della Winslet secondo me é perfetto. Quelle note di pianoforte hanno sempre accompagnato nella mia mente il volto di Rose che alza lo sguardo verso il Titanic. E infatti quella é stata la primissima scena che ho inserito. Grazie di cuore davvero, e come sempre, sentiti libero di condividere questo video dove desideri :)

No, I'm sorry but there won't be a second one dedicated to the 90s. This was for me the most difficult fantastic journey to create. More than two months of full work, 225 movies analyzed and inserted frame by frame. This is for me my definitive homage to the 90s movies. I couldn't do a better one of this one

For me, the 90s was like a 'last gasp' in terms of originality, high concept, cinematic milestones, performances, visual effects, acting and larger than life characters. After that... it's all been a bit thin and sparse.

Thank you! There are at least other 200 movies from the 90s that I didn't insert. Before making this one I made a list to choose from. But the other movies are not so famous like these one, so it would be a very poor journey, and a weak second chapter. For me, the 90s movies are closed all in this one.

On a personal level, most things happend in the '90s! :-) So I hold it very dearly. As I was 12-22 during the nineties, I lived the decade fully. Being foremost an '80s kid (77' Stockholm, Sweden) though, I experienced the 1980-ies lingured throughout 1992 as it was still surfing the eighties wave. Although the '90s proved to be nearly as awesome as the '80s (in particular until 1997), towards the end of the decade a strange kind of vacuum appeared. Creativity simply slowed down considerably, as if the entire unimaginable transformation of the 20th century was summed up with nothing special to offer the next decade.
