So the new version will likely get some of the bigger mods ported over to work on this rerelease. I am getting it on steam to play on steam deck. The originals on pc are a little janky so having a new version available to fix those issues is a no brainer.

I think it’s awesome. The game was never supposed to come to switch. However a weird error had people excited about the port. The devs said it wasn’t a thing but they saw the excited and demand so they said that a port was coming. I’m quite curious about this port, impossible ports are very interesting in my opinion

As an Elden Ring fan, nothing in this Direct got me as excited as I was watching the Shadow of the Erdtree trailer. I love my Switch but I was largely underwhelmed.
Epic Mickey was a cool surprise, and Penny's Big Breakaway releasing today was great news. It's also nice that we finally have a date for Fantasy Life. Beyond that, yeah. It was a pretty weak Direct.
Other than Epic Mickey getting a remake/remaster there wasn't much to say about this direct, Super Monkey Ball new game is also exciting but that's pretty much it. I still want Kingdom Hearts native ports for the Switch and Silksong but hopefully we'll get them in the future

I think Beatemups made a good point that Endless Ocean would have been better as a launch title for the next system to really show off it's graphical abilities and impressive visuals since the game is all about looking at pretty stuff. Putting it near the end of this generation seems kind of "too little too late."
We should of got a Physical Rare Collection, I'd pay whatever they'd charge as long as Battletoads games and the Killer Instinct games including all the arcade versions were in there.
So wish we could of got a Killer Instinct collection that had Killer Instinct on Gameboy, Super Nintendo, Arcade and Killer Instinct Gold on Nintendo 64 and Killer Instinct 2 Arcade all on a physical card.
I'm 24 and all of my friends were freaking out over the Battlefront Collection announcement. One buddie was thinking about a Switch for a party game console. Battlefront was all he needed to confirm he'd play it alone, when friends aren't over. For my generation, Battlefront Collection is a huge deal. Have I already bought the game 4 times (PS2, PSP, 360, and Steam)? Yes. Will I be a sucker and buy it again? Yes
I'm so pissed at that, at this point Nintendo must know what they are doing, there was a Robot Chicken sketch a decade ago where Reggie burns a guy with a Fire Flower for asking when North America is getting Mother 3.
I have to mention that Grounded & Pentiment for the PC were fantastic. So getting it on the Switch is actually a great move! Good job to Microsoft & Nintendo 💪
Wish we could get back some of that cut Epic Mickey content, because there were whole spinoff games that were cut, not to mention a drastically darker tone!
World of Goo 2 is actually a new game not a remaster. Seems you may have thrown that in with the remakes/remaster category. But while it wasn't anything to crazy this was a decent direct in my opinion.

I thought the showcase was actually pretty solid. I agree with you RGT about it being a little underwhelming at the end of the showcase but I’m glad to see some of these games get remastered especially Epic Mickey. Never had a chance to play it.
The big question is, will Star wars battlefront receive a physical release on the Nintendo Switch? As of the 22nd of February I'm not saying anything on any online retailer.
