Whyyyyyy can we not have a #10 playmaker??? How in tf are we supposed to run Coach Wolff system without that???? We have everything else. But never have we had that. Why is this the last priority??? With the style of play we are trying to run 🤦🏻♂️🤔🤷🏻♂️
That’s more of Driussi role. I would say we need a striker because Zardes is past his prime so dont have high hopes for him. Our middle field is great but when they are off our whole team is off. The defense is good depending on who you ask. I think they are good for the most part but definitely can find better CB’s. Now our forwards they need to be better at linking up. Owens Wolff is not doing it at the 10. In my opinion I would say put Driussi at the 10 and find a good striker and build from that.
@@solodolo6869 driussi is a down hill running aggressive type player that is drawn to the goal and is thinking about scoring. Huge fan but I want someone to FEED him. I keep thinking we will see Dani be this person but it's as though he's not given that role, they really love him at cdm but who else really could do this and why do they not search for this type of creative player? I do not recall us having a player of this nature I speak. I think this is a classic American soccer problem. We do not as a culture understand or even value a #10 type player eh?
They definitely need a Diego fagundez type of player. Even though he doesn’t play that #10 role that you are asking they had great chemistry on the ball especially that 2022 season. I think Austin fc is buying a lot of players from the same positions and not being even throughout all the positions. Hopefully they find a great striker and can link up well with Driussi. I do like Driussi as well but just sometimes I feel like his ego or pride gets the better of him. In the podcast they mentioned that he seemed like he is dealing with something mental? Maybe what if it’s like jealously from bukari? I don’t know maybe I’m reading in between the lines too much 🤷🏻♂️
@@solodolo6869 man, that guy is missed sorely. But I guess I agree that Driussi has shown the ability to do that well yet......is it not clear that his nature doesn't let him be that? Idk why he isn't that guy for us, frankly. Idk why they dropped Urruti but Seba hasn't been the same since imo. I think because he is such a North to South player in my eyes as opposed to a left to right distributor. Which I get we have some good distributors but we need a CREATIVE distributor. Like what if they really encouraged Dani to be this instead of cdm? But CAN an American coach develop a #10 player? Do we even have anyone like that in our history? I guess you could say pulisic, maybe McKennie could be. I think the closest we've had is Claudio and maybe Acosta. But it's just not in our culture and it shows 😔
It's hard for the guys to get up for it when you move your 10 out of position to slot in the coachs son...it pisses off the fans, imagine the players..I know it's their job but it's a spirit killer and tactical no go..it's not a serious approach...this is what you get in a precourt/wolff club
The way seba is pouting makes me miss ceci. He played as the nine in year one and didn’t make a fit. Sure he would dive but. I would too with the team we had year one lol
