Happy birthday, Mike! I think those bugs in the Montana are the invasive Asian Beetles. Maybe you don't have them down there, and they got brought along for the ride. We have tons of them up here in WI. They stink really bad when you kill them, too. They also leave a tobacco looking stain when smashed.

The model number has the length of the RV, for example, the Montana rv was 37.5ft long the 2nd rv was 41ft (Happy Birthday)

Hello Mike aka Monkey Wrench Mike. The Montana High County RV is a good looking RV. The Cyclone HD RV is a good looking RV.
They aren't lady but they are-Asian lady beetles, which sometimes resemble yellow ladybugs, can sneak into your home through cracks or holes when it gets cold outside. Ladybugs won't do that. Light attracts the pests, so they'll often congregate on siding on the south side of a building, around door frames, and in windows.
The Montana is 37ft long and the FL means front living room
The cyclone is 41.15 feet the model number is usual the length. The FL means Front living room. FB would be front bedroom
The length is on numbers and letters by the door the montana was a 37 ft front living room and so on
They may well have swung the back end after filling the tow vehicle with fuel (Montana damage). Lots of length behind the axles to swing. It is very much a thing.

Mike, these big RV's are EXPENSIVE .... easily quarter million to half million dollar brand new. If it comes with a " goose-neck ", it must be dragged / towed by a big trucker NOT a pick up truck can pull it !

37fl 37 feet front living
The longest fifth wheel allowed is supposedly 40 ft. The largest motorhome allowed is 45 ft. Max height is 13'6" and max width is 8'6". I've been RVing for over 50 years. Cyclones are among the best "production" fifth wheel, but start are over $100K for a new one.
The longest legal length for a fifth wheel is 43.5 ft (In the U.S) However, You are legal as long as your total length (tow vehicle and Rv combined) doesn't exceed 60ft
So just because you have been a rv'er for 50+ yrs doesn't mean your a expert. I work at a rv dealership. In the sales and service dept. That means i know the proper legal RV in's & out's

The cyclone is 43-ft long. And you would need a newer 1 ton Diesel dully (something rated to tow at a min 22,000 lbs). To tow it Safely, that is
5th wheels suffer from frame flex on the front nose, the longer the trailer the worse frame damage. Look for panels that have pulled loose, exterior rubber moldings that are loose or missing. Interior you could see shifted wall panels, loose panels….cabinets that shift or don’t line up right….no real fix for this so many insurance cos will total a camper rather than replace a 37-40 ft frame…..

The big new travel trailers and 5th wheel trailers look nice when they are new, but they are slapped together
garbage. There are a lot of lawsuits that have been filed because of all of the problems that they have.
The only new rv's that are well made are the Air Stream trailers. They are expensive but they will last
a lifetime if properly taken care of, and they actually don't depreciate as bad as all of the other trailers.

These things LOOK great--until they forever fall apart. Sub-standard frames, poor welds, CHEAP materials and more. It costs huge $ to keep one on the road. Which is why, I'd guess, the photo of the Mom/Dad/kids was left behind, left behind along with the dream of RV life
