so, if you guys didn't know, a few months ago there was some allegations from a few people outing the lead of mccafferty as an abuser towards not only one person but several, i'm not going to take this album/video down because i don't really believe in it as a valid course of action, but i think it's important to point out depending how far you guys really want to support him; similar things have floated around for years about nick, and just a few months ago things got cemented further about them i don't really believe in cancel culture for the most part, especially when it comes to normal people getting vilified for things like ignorance at worst, but truly horrific behaviour shouldn't be tolerated by communities. craft your own opinions on how you'll take this, and how you'll support (or cease to) the band, there's threads on r/emo discussing it where you can hopefully get most of the info you're curious about it
I appreciate that I have a place I can come listen to this album without supporting Nick. I will certainly give the other guys and their new band my support and "views" but I won't be giving Nick any royalties. It sucks, I seem to keep finding out that a lot of art I have always been very connected to was created by people who never tried to get better. I spent years being the monster without knowing it. But I also spent years changing who I was so I can now truly say that I am not the horrible actions and mistakes I once made. I hope everyone can move forward and grow from what has happened, but it takes a lot of blameless, humble searching within and it does not seem like that is where Nick is in his journey. Any way, sorry for the soapbox. Thank you again.
i know people make stuff up about celebrities all the time but allegations should always be taken seriously, its not okay to spare out favorites just because we "dont believe" the allegations. its really not even a matter of ignorance, ignorance is exceptional when someone does something one time and then learns from it. the allegations were on going, he clearly had to know that what he was doing was wrong. frankly i dont think ignorance should be applied to sexual assaults', rape, harassments, ect. unless the man grew up with no discipline, theres no excuse to violate anyone. with all that said i do respect your opinion, and it is such a tragedy that such an amazing artist with so much talent had to fuck it up. i will continue to listen to their music, but sadly i cant promote them anymore it would just contradict my morals.

i don't know what it is about this album, but?? i've listened to it so many times over the last few months because of course i've know about mccafferty, but i was one of those trees kids, y'know? and a lot of these songs have just hit me really hard in this certain part of me. mccafferty's main singer might suck, but i still cry to their songs.
So many people stop listening to Mcafferty after the Beachboy album cause Nick was apparently telling racist jokes and said “dangerous threats”. Honestly, I don’t care if someone told me to kill myself because of my skin color and then play this banger of music, I’d still listen.
