Well, a LOT more. To succeed with TH-cam you have to take so many things into account...
- The niche you are going to make videos for.
- Your CTR (click through rate) --> therefor you need to know how to make good thumbnails and how to write catchy titles.
- How to make an extremely good intro to your video so the people stay after they clicked on it.
- (especially for faceless channels) the tone of voice / branding of your videos.
- How the TH-cam algorithm works.
- And so much more...
I actually got a comment a couple of days ago by someone who looked at my website and said that the course was overpriced because it was text based and there was probably not going to be enough information (Keep in mind that person had not bought the course. So he or she has never seen what's inside). That's why I decided to actually see how much information someone is getting.

I get that the course is fairly new and that the people who sign up now are one with the first few, so there is always the chance that some things are not quite clear for the students but are obvious to me. If that's the case I really encourage those people to ask me questions so I can improve the course based on that. However, there are already a pretty decent amount of students and as of now the course seems to be very clear!
Nonetheless I want the students to succeed. Obviously because that's the goal of the course but also so other people can see that the course is really worth it and I will sell more 😉. So if the students have any questions I'm happy to help.

I would extend the duration of each image by at least 4 seconds. Additionally, I recommend that you use a much better VO in your future videos! Good luck
Well I would definitely strongly recommend to NOT extend the duration with another 4 seconds... And here is why;
The most important thing that makes all your videos go viral (on Shorts, TikTok, Instagram, literally every other platform) is the retention rate (how much of the video people have watched on average). If you are going to show your images that long people will get bored and click away.
Before making this video I measured 5 of the most viral videos I found that are following this method and they all show the images between 2 and 3 seconds.
And I would recommend to go to the lower part (so 2 seconds) because then people have just enough time to watch the image and get intrigued, but they don't see everything. The result is that they are going to watch the video again which would give you a retention rate of even more than 100% for that particular viewer. Which is a super powerful indicator for every algorithm to push your video.
Now, if you really want to make the videos longer; show the images 3 seconds and just add a few more, so 6 for instance instead of 4.
And thank you for the feedback about the voice-over. I'm definitely looking for a better one! But, I do also think this ones adds a bit of character to my channel. However, I'm curious to know if you are a native english speaker?

When I need copyright free music it will download it from Tunetank! However, for the song I mentioned that you would really want to use you can download it straight from TH-cam with a TH-cam to MP3 converter. Or if you want to upload it to TH-cam shorts you can insert it in there. But only when you upload from your phone!

That's definitely a fun project to work on. This channel will only succeed if you are a great story teller. So I would definitely go with a very high quality voice-over. Either ElevenLabs or one of Fliki's premium voices. Regarding the animations, maybe you could look at AI generated images and try Pikalabs or Runway to animate them. However I don't really have a lot of experience with those programs yet.

@@miumiuchills Well, if you want to compete on TH-cam you will always have to pick a so called "sub" niche. For instance; you could say I'm in the AI niche, however I'm teaching mostly methods to make money online with AI. And I'm actually only doing this focused on AI generated video content. So my niche will probably be something like; how to create and make money with AI generated content. I would say that even just "bizarre history events" is still a bit broad.
But to get back to your question. A faceless history channel is definitely something that can compete. But (and I haven't done my research, however this is just my gut feeling) I think that there are already a lot of history channels. So the quality they put out will probably also be very high. So you really have to see how you are going to compete.
When I'm picking niches I always focus on two things;
1. are there channels with less than 50.000 to 100.000 subscribers that have videos with over 100.000 views and are less than a year old.
2. can I make 20% better content.
If the answer on both is yes, there is a real chance of creating a channel that can succeed.

Copyright free tracks, there are many out there. Just make sure, you're allowed to use for content creation (most times it says so in the video title itself) Good luck!
When you upload TH-cam shorts from your phone you can also add music from within TH-cam. This way you can add every song you like without getting into copyright issues. Even the most popular songs. It works just like TikTok and Instagram Reels. You can see how this works in this video I made: th-cam.com/video/5PEBSWGNtQw/w-d-xo.html (I believe from around 3:40).

@@relaxNmotivate So, I know of a channel called @jazzycoffee2343. I'm not sure if this channel is creating it's own music but I believe it's not. However, they do an amazing job in creating relaxing interior backgrounds with small moving parts like rain, candles, trees and so on. They create this with programs like Sketchup, Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effect, V-ray Render and Photoshop. And they are monetised. So I would suggest you look at their videos to see what they are doing. And maybe shoot them a message to see if they create their own music or not. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I'm not sure if you are able to do it in Canva as well. If so, it's definitely a lot more work setting it up. And keep in mind; Canva's image generator isn't very good... Otherwise you could set it up in Canva and use midjourney for the images!

But in short it is actually very easy. You just need to focus on these two questions: Is there enough growth potential for you? And, are you able to compete with the existing creators in your niche?
I always follow these two rules:
1. Find niches with creators that have less then 50.000 to 100.000 subscribers, have videos with over 100.000 views and are less than a year old.
2. Assess if you can make the content 20% better.

Yes, exactly what @FactologyFinder says. On general you will always get 1 to 2K views on your short. This is TH-cam "testing" your short to see if viewers like it. When it doesn't get any more views than that it is probably because the retention is too low...

So, I do have a theory... I think you watched my video about how to make 300 shorts in 30 minutes. Just like 1.7 million other people. And a lot of other TH-camrs copied my video so there are definitely millions of people that know this method and probably thousands that have tried it. So I think that TH-cam is extremely saturated with this kind of content now... Therefor it is nowadays extremely hard to get views on this type of content. I actually see a lot of channels get shadowbanned because they are making this type of content.
Sadly, I would try to look at another strategy... And what this should be all depends on your goals.
