The problem is the first two tests involved controversial calls which helped England win the games. There were two major calls in the second (eye gouge no call and a dropped ball try awarded) and in the first test was a dubious penalty try and many 'hometown ref calls'. Those two tests England were helped but just managed to scrape with a win. The 3rd test England were blown off the park.

It's partly down to money, and partly because for the NRL players it is a big test for them to play in totally different conditions. It's always been the tradition that SH teams tour at the end of a season in the place of origin of the sport in both codes of Rugby.

let us get things in prospective . league is a hard game , both teams where playing beyond the rules sometimes . but in the end england where the deserved winners . the eye gauge wasnt right but neither where the high tackles and knee to the head whick nz got away with . new zealand are a great team . but not unbeatable .

In the first test they had an English ref who was bias towards England, in the 2nd they had the same ref in the TMO box who awarded that controversial try to gift England the win. It would've been better had they just gone with neutral refs so there will be no calls of bias in favour of the home team after.

Where were you watching the Rugby League because the Kiwi's were knocked out in the Quarterfinals by a one eye ref. Tonga should have won.
