You did wonderfully. It is gorgeous. There is a rule in quilting. It is called the galloping horse rule. If it can not be seen as you go by on a galloping horse, you do not worry about it. People see our work as a whole. After awhile even you will not be able to find anything you had considered wrong. Enjoy wear it. I love my wardrobe of jackets and vests.
This a wonderful rule. I think I am going to absolutely adopt this perspective going forward. Thank you so much ☀️
What a beautiful jacket! You did a super job, and what a great video. Your jacket is so adorable!
Thank you so much!

You did AMAZING ❤ I’ll have to try this pattern with heritage quilt I have
Thank you! I bet it turns out beautifully :)
That is awesome. Away to honor and display those before with their talents.
Must admit I thought you were bonkers to cut up something so old but what a gem of a jacket. It’s beautiful. What a good idea binding the seams yes have to take back my thoughts well done. Was there enough left to make a child one with the leftovers?
There was not, but I did make a small cross body bag and plan to make some wall art with the scraps.
I love the cuff! That's one of those happy mistakes! Looks amazing!
It was a very pleasant surprise! thank you :)
You did a great job with that coat!
Thank you! 😊
I like it!! You gave me soooooo many ideas!, thank you !!!! Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺
What a beautiful jacket. Giving that precious quilt another life.
Thank you!
@@makeit.withmeganWhat pattern did you use?
It’s really cute thanks for walking us through the process
Thank you!!
Gorgeous. I have one to complete too. The hem modifications softened the appearance of the design. The shorter length gives it a youthful appearance. Fantastic tutorial.
Thank you. It’s a wonderful pattern.
I like the use of the bias binding to cover the seam. The cuffs are a great look. Looks great.
Thanks so much!
It's wonderful!!
Awesome!
Wow!....this jacket is too cute. ❤
Thank you!
Adorable.
So lovely!!! I am truly inspired! Reminds me I have a quilt feint a friend gave me years ago with hand embroidered butterflies. It is in a pillowcase in the bottom of a fabric tub. I love that there is sentimental love in your jacket! I subscribed! You have talent!❤
Thank you for subscribing 💛. That’s cool that you also have a butterfly quilt, is it similar to the one I used?
I'm new here! I also am sewing this jacket! Your video was beneficial to me. Tomorrow I will be doing my sleeves and pockets. It truly is a great pattern and you nailed it. The more I think about it, I may redo my neckpiece. Mine is thick and doesn't seem to lay right. We will see. Thanks for the video.
Thank you :). I really loved sewing this pattern, I even made one for my friend. Good luck with your coat, I hope you love yours as much as I love mine.
This is beautiful! I have an old quilt that might just have to be cut up. And… regarding mistakes… a knitting teacher told me once if you make a mistake in a garment, just walk fast when you wear it! Perfect!
She’s got a point!!
Love it. Have table cloth to make up as summer jacket
Great idea!!
Its beautifully sewn! Well done. Sew another! I love it. Bye,
Thank you! 😊
Super cute
Hi...new subscriber here 🤗. It turned out so beautiful ❤. I've been putting this project aside for the same reasons....lol but your video was a great tutorial.
Thank you, if you wanted make a quilt coat using the same pattern, the pattern designer actually has very in depth, super detailed step by step video instructions here on youtube, each step has a different video. You can check out her channel here if you are interested www.youtube.com/@laraehandmade
A very good jacket, and a good way of showing it more to others. I just thought it was a tax short in length, but you might like it that short. And perhaps the opening in the pockets should have been from the side seems, easier to put your hands in, and eliminate the kind of akward angle of your hands. But I just applaud your braveness.
😂❤
Make a hat or muffler with scraps or mitts! Good job!😀
Cool idea! Thank you!
That first cut would be soooooo hard.
It really was!
After watching hibg your video I purchased this Larae pattern for the coast coat. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to cut and tape this pattern out. Is there anyone that can help me?
I would recommend putting into the TH-cam search bar “how to tape together paper sewing patterns”. There are a lot of video tutorials.
