- F1 2011 review part 1 of 2. Classic Game Room reviews F1 2011 for PS3 Playstation 3 (also available for Xbox 360 and PC) from Codemasters and THQ. Formula one racing in the comfort of your own home! Drive through the rain and sunshine (but no lava levels) to become F1 champion of the universe in F1 2011. Choose from a variety of teams and cars, start a career or do laps in time trial. F1 2011 has some enhancements that set it apart from F1 2010 but remains similar. Fans of F1 racing should enjoy this F1 video game which features awesome visuals, challenging races, loads of tracks and White Lies on the soundtrack. The part where he went into the tunnel could use some light effect. In reality it's tough to go through that part because it suddenly gets dark and when you come out it's suddenly too bright. That would be an awesome feature! (3:00)
I love the fact that you can really attack the curbs! The car went into an automatic spin in 2010, but now - it's sooooo much better!

This game is racing perfection!!! This and 2010 came from the small team that did GRID. I hope they are still making GRID 2. Just like this game.... That would be a day one purchase for me as well.....
The reason why Mark is the best is because he has achieved what few have, loving what he does.
I only have one thing that bugs me about this game. In rookie mode you cant set the car up for engine failures, or mechanical breakdowns. I know its frustrating to have your engine go bang on the 2nd to last lap (Especially if your racing 20% + of the real track laps) I usually go for around 10/16 laps per race. But mechanical failure is something out of your hands, and fate is more realistic. Also it rains a little too much, especially at Silverstone! Fyi, it doesnt always rain in the U.K......😒 Just every day that ends with a Y. 😃
If anyone's wondering, the song that starts at 0:32 is "Bigger Than Us" by the band White Lies. It's fucking awesome.

If you have a PS3 and you are not a great fan of F1 but like racing games in general , I really think you should get F1 2010.F1 2011 on the PS3 has major graphics and frame rate issues .F1 2010 looks like gran turismo but the weather effects are awesome plus now I got my like new copy of F1 2010 for £4 on amazon fully supports online play!
The career mode on F1 games is damn hard but gran pri mode is more accessible and fun

@Barbaryotaku Because the average human being can only handle Mark's voice in short, 5-6 minute invervals. A full-length review would kill most of us.

I got 2010 on a Steam sale for like $5 or something, it was pretty good.
I really loved this game, It's really worth getting.

@TheRooster94 It's not about the car it's about the game, in this video because he's using a wheel all his turns are very smooth. With a controller it's impossible to make a smooth turn because the controls are so twitchy.
I don't care what kind of car it is, it should be playable with a controller.
@Manofaction0 Well its missing on this because it was just posted, and part 2 isn't uploaded yet. But he should really link part 2 in the description, because it usually doesn't show up in related videos on the right, and I always have to go to his channel and search for it. :/

Compare this to his review F1 CHAMPIONSHIP EDITION FOR PS3 to this review and you can see that he likes this game SOOOO much better.

@wooterz does it actully matter, all games are built on a pc, then ported to xbox then ps3 as they must test the lowest powered console first (xbox) they fine tune for the xbox after they are happy with the dev build on the pc, and when you only have a year turn around its not a case of not caring its a case of no time to fine tune the ps3 version

Playseat is bottom of the barrel when it comes to simracing seats. RSeat is around the same price and more sturdy with more features. I have an Obutto, which is also budget, but is crammed with great features. Playseat has a centerbar mount, which only serves to get in the way when using pedals that have a clutch, and is not as well built as others in the same price range. The only reason they are popular is marketing.
This game should have Martin Brundle grid walks before the race :D
mark, you should be the race driver for lotus team considering that team is not that good. it'll do wonders for the team.

why did they cut 30% race distance? at 20% there's not enough time for changes in weather to have a big impact and 50% is just a bit too long.

well the Monaco track in real life is quite bumpy. It is racing on city streets.
I really want to like modern F1 games, and I know as a simulator, these games are impeccable, but if this one's anything like last year's version, there's too steep a learning curve and it's just a game of "rocket sleds" that I can't steer properly (at least without a racing seat and wheel setup like you have).
I hope my PC can run this awesome game!

@MarshmallowMasta Probably because an F1 car handles a lot differently to a rally car, so of course there's going to be a massive difference

@TheRooster94 Well it's a codemasters game so it supports the Xbox 360 wired controller by default and it controls like horrible shit with it, where as Dirt 1-3 control exactly the same on PC as they do on console with a controller.

@HappySongLover I dont hate NASCAR, and sure its challenging, but take everything you said about NASCAR and then add chicanes, hard braking, hard accelerating, hills, ext and that really ups the anti. Basically people mock NASCAR, usually because turning left at high speed with cars inchs away is done in many other types of racing, and they have to do right turns and chicanes as well.
