@@sportbiketrackgear Hell yea man you got a awsome team! I will continue to support you guys. Have you guys gotten your new shop up yet? Me and my cousin have been wanting to make a trip up on our bikes to check out a shop like your guys.(from Fort Wayne IN) lol

@@sportbiketrackgear gotchaaa yea i remember last year or maybe year before i thought you guys said something about you remodling the place. Thanks Van willdo!
What would be your advice for someone like me, in between sizes M/L. Most times, especially with A-stars, medium is quite tight on the palm, perfect around the fingers but length is well short. For large, very loose around the palms but the fingers 5cm too long typically at the thumb and index. I own both M & L A-stars gloves and are not happen with either. Is there any brands you suggest that might suit better?
If you are having issues with fit I would suggest going to a shop and trying some gloves on. Brands to look for are RS Taichi, RST and Racer. We have a ton of the RST gloves on the way to us now that should be here soon. - Van
The gloves feels nice. The thumb is to the end of the glove but the other fingers about 1/2 inch short of glove fingertips. Is that ok it go down another size?
I have a pair of gloves that fit perfect through the finger length but the only issue is material bunching in the palm when gripping the handlebar, it causes the glove to pinch my skin the entire time. Is this a sign the glove is too large?
The worst part about gloves Brian is that different companies use different sizes. A Joe Rocket large is too large for me, but a AS large fits me just right and my finger tips are right at the edge of the gloves. Where a JR gloves my fingers don't reach all the way to the tip and gets caught up underneath my brake levers which takes an extra second for me to move my fingers when I'm braking, ya... It's not the best thing. This almost forces me to buy retail from a bike shop and overpay cause I can physically check the glove size.
+Sportbike Track Gear but what if you have freakishly short fingers? please direct me to the manufactures that make gloves with the shortest fingers. I just measured. My middle finger is 3 1/4" from webbing the tip (no nails). My thumb is 2 1/2" from webbing to tip. Please help. im interested in race gauntlets.
Not sure if you bought gloves already. But a Held in size 7 fits my hands similar to yours. For sure tight at first. But after break in it fits perfect. 7+ is same palm size but longer finger length.
Hey Brian. Do you guys have a showroom? Im in Michigan and looking to get full leathers, boots and gloves. Would love to come try everything on at your location.
Thankyou for your segment. I also check where the palm slider sits- on my palm or is it too low? ALso the knuckle protectors- are they actually over the knuckles or more over the back of the hand? If they answer is "yes" to either of those questions the gloves is too big. No point having a palm slider not on your palm or knuckle protectors not over you knuckles.
I would go to a shop and try on some other models to see if you can find one that offers you more dexterity. Having the gloves larger than they need to be will reduce feel. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear I have never ever seen gloves more comfy than alpinestars copper. But all of alpinestars gloves have a problem for me, the middle and thumb are too short for my fingers, but the rest of the fingers are waay too big. Suggestions?
God damn, the sheer customer support and amazing reviews, kind of wish you guys were in Australia so I can get on this 😂. Good stuff guys, keep up the good work and content!
Great and helpful video thanx, just one question. I tried an alpinestars glove, the fingers fitted all the way in, wrist was fine, but stretching the thumb was tight, it was stretching the inside of the glove too much, when opening my thumb, is that an issue? Will it affect reaching the front brake ?
My problem with Alpinestars is XL fits great, but the pinky and ring finger is a tad long. I'll probably have to switch to L and just stretch it out as best I could.
I can never find a glove that fits over my hand but then my fingers aren’t swimming in extra material. Are there brands that notoriously have shorter fingers? Or short sizing?
Held does offer some models with various finger length, they are the only brand I have seen do this. Glove fit and sizing is very similar from most of the common brands at this point the only thing I can suggest is coming into the shop and trying on several pairs to see if you find one that suits you. Wish I had a better answer. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear thanks man, it was a little struggle, because the rst I got made it feel like the leather was dangling off my fingertips so I basically went from a large alpine to a small rst,,, bit of a mind job
@Sportbike Track Gear. I am using Astar gp tech small size. The fitting is too tight but finger length is good. Medium size feel good at the palm but the finger is too long. I have short fingers, What do you suggest for me? What do you think about revit jerez? ( Revit spitfire medium size is perfect for me).
We offer some of the Revit products but have not put a lot of effort into updates as our customers have never shown much interest in them over the years. In your case the best way to get a good fitting pair of gloves will be to go to a shop and try on several pair. We have a ton of gloves here in stock but like other dealers our showroom is currently closed due to the Coronapocolypse. When this passes you need to go to a shop. - Van

Hi, I bought a pair of Spanish Garibaldi Defence pro in the L size (10). 8 of my fingers fit perfectly, but my thumbs feel cramped in the gloves and if I extend my thimbs to press the horn, I feel my thumb digging into the edge stitching. Should I go one size up (where there is about 2mm gap between 8 of my fingers while holding on the grips but no gap on the thumbs) or stick with the 10 size? The gloves are a hybrid textile/cow leather spring/summer/fall type (somewhere between a full gauntlet and short wrist)
hhh.. gloves are a nightmare to me. My fingers' length is of a Large glove. But my fingers are narrower, so Large feels loose. So does the rest of the glove, it feels big. So then I try out a Medium. My fingers are too long for a Medium, but the glove is fine in other aspects. Tf do I do? Fining a pair is SO difficult, and I can't even be pretentious to what kind of glove it is, or the protection on it. I'm just praying it fits.
Those are the Five RFX Race Gloves, expensive and amazing. Love the feel these gloves offer. Here is a link to them on our site: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/five-rfx-race-gloves/ - Van
Not sure if we will make it to jackets. We are getting pretty close to the point where I need to start building the bikes for the upcoming season. - Van
Thanks for the this and all the videos! Which gloves crash better? thinking along the lines of repair potential and ability to use again after a crash? Does the knox palm sliders hold up better than a kangaroo or kevlar reinforcement during a palm slide? Are external seams better that internal seams for crashability?
IMO the Heroic gloves will get you the best crash durability. Heroic also offers repair service for their gloves here in the US. I think they are the only brand that repairs their own gloves. - Van
What about pre curve?? Ive got 1000 miles on my Full Metal RS and I still have to fight to open up my hand all the way. I know you never need to fully extend your fingers while riding ( unless someone cuts you off while on their phone) but Id like to know if that pre curve will always be this restrictive.
you should do one on helmets!! explaining correct fitment especially for track/sport helmets

If the fingers are so tight you can not move the glove around a bit offs are they will be to tight to ride in. - Van
