You call this "Stupid Solutions to Problems that Actually Worked" and I call it, "McGuyvering"
16:36 By doing this, you also concentrate the airflow though each leg of the sweat pants toward each person. Because its compressed within the sweats and comes out the small ankle hole at the bottom, it will feel high speed, cooling you off really fast. Much better than if you just stood in front of the fan itself. So each person literally feels the full power of the fan and gets the same effect. It's quite ingenius.

2:22 why do we assume that the tires are holding up the house? My 1st thought when looking at the photograph is that the tires were put around wooden support beams to protect the beams. Afterall, the tires are not showing signs of compression that would come along with supporting the weight of a building.

Side note those"IBC containers" are usually used for things like maple syrup, honey, and juices. There are few other non-food uses, but they are definitely not rated for hazardous chemicals. If I recall correctly, hazardous materials have to be transported in metal containers and anything over 55 gallons must be in a double hulled container. So the most caustic thing you may find in those is vinegar.

You can solve an issue with a stupid solution.
Like how someone used tires to prop their house up. It may solve the issue for now, but it isn't smart and it will eventually collapse.
A smart solution would include a stable, sturdy material and someone who knows how to build.

In extreme circumstances, a boiling pot of water on a stove does WONDERS to heat a house. I knew a friend who had a stingy landlord who locked the thermostat in a keyed lockbox. When it got freezing out, it was so cold in the house you needed multiple blankets to stay warm. So my friend put a boiling pot of water on the stove and it warmed the entire apartment.
EDIT: As for the split screen multiplayer, screenlooking was not only acceptable, but encouraged, at least with my friend group. We were all so good at the game that it didn't matter if you knew exactly where each other was. It was fun to engage, duel style, instead of camping or ambushing to win. We were all very close in skill, and even if ambushed, the person could still turn around and win. Also, we knew the levels extremely well and knew which areas to avoid and where good spots to hide and snipe from were, and would either avoid them, or ambush the ambusher! And often it didn't matter anyway. Part of the fun *was* knowing exactly where each other were. Ever play a 1v1 match and you run around for 10 minutes without seeing each other or firing a shot? THAT was boring. This way we could engage faster and as soon as you engaged, you had to look back at your screen or your aim would be off. Ambushing is cheap and no fun anyway.

When my kids were little, we didn't have a pool and they wanted to swim, so i lined cardboard boxes with trash can liners and they each had their own pool. We were poor.

We used to dunk in what was called a cow drinker during the summer. The same thing they use to feed cows. Basically a cheap, deeper yard pool.

I did the stove trick this year. My landlord locked my heat so it wouldn't go above 65, and I live in Central Maine....gets chilly here.
So Id turn on the stove and open the door...its not a very big place...and when I'd close all the bedroom and bathroom doors, I could get the heat to go up a good 10°
Unfortunately for me...landlord pays heat, but I pay electric. 🤷‍♀️

I live in my RV. Wish I had a piece of land I could put it on. my RV is getting too old for the RV parks. And even though it is a 1997, it's in great shape. I do try to keep up with home improvements.
