Yeah ...if you're running with randoms in the Rec...that "Focus on the paint" defense is a no go if you're defending a stretch big. 1-they don't rotate and 2- if you need to give something up...a 2 is better than an open 3. When I'm running with randoms,I'm sticking with my guy regardless...this means that if he's a stretch then I'm gonna be right out at that 3 point line and hope my team can get boards
I’ve been running with randoms waiting for my team to finish their builds. I hate guarding stretch bigs. I be locking their shit up, denying the ball from them, and hope my team can get boards and when they don’t they cry to me to get a board. Like I can’t run out from the corner and grab a board
@@CuhhDiii they try that with me too "Yooo stop chasing that bum ass stretch around and get on the boards" but I always stay on the stretches..and it's because I stay on the stretches that we win. Bigs who can really guard stretches are just different
Love playing center but I wish the game would do a better job recognizing your position and not penalize you as much as other positions if you not out on the perimeter guarding all these 6”9 and up stretch’s who play center but just stand in the corner. The arrow for who you should guard should switch faster to the closer person in the paint quicker.
I play ps4 and play big in a very similar style to you. I defend really well and setup my guards, however I struggle scoring. Any post tips/moves you absolutely should know? I am new to 2k this yr but I avg 4pts 7ass 8 reb. 2stl 2blk. Also, is there any sure fire way to guarantee a dunk attempt? Sometimes it shoots horrible layups and is why I pass out on offensive boards nearly every time. Some ppl say I pass too much.
What do you do if your matchup can shoot the three ball and your playing with randoms? Kind of hard to stay in the paint a lot unless you wanna give up a lot of shots from your matchup
I haven’t played with randoms in rec in a while, but what i suggest is keeping him from shooting and sprinting to the paint ASAP when a shot a taken by somebody. Honestly i hate playing centers who stay at the perimeter, harder to get rebounds
Well the staying in the paint tip is good but it really depends on your build and playstyle. Inside centers have to stay in the paint but outside centers play differently. As an outside center myself, you have to maintain a balance of when to go to the paint and when to stand on the perimeter to shoot. It's really common knowledge and it depends on how your team plays as well. Not every game is the same. Some games you'll be in the paint getting easy points, other times you'll be shooting threes if your center build can shoot.
What do you think the best ideal strength is ? Will 80 be enough before gym rat with hof rebound chaser and hof box out with 7’ with max wingspan Any recommendations for vertical ad well, so you need acceleration as a C Love the content 🔥
Thanks bro i appreciate ya support🙏🏽. 80 is definitely enough strength, unless you want a post scorer (go for 90+ then). I have between 75 and 80 on my builds and i been fine with it. Also your HOF badges paired with it will work good. Vertical gives higher jump animations and more dunks so you can pick that depending on your role and skill level. Personally i use 76-80. I go near minimum weight on my big men so i can have higher speed and acceleration 💪🏽
@@Levahr thanks for the reply I saw 2k labs results for acceleration it’s only the first few steps with the ball, which isn’t that important for a big man right? What steal rating do you have in these videos ? Will 74 speed with 59 acceleration suffice if I don’t have ball handle anyways
I have 71 speed and 61 acc. Last year the first 2 steps where acceleration, this year its the first 4 step and with all this rim running players I think it still best to have a higher acceleration, especially if you run Park.
@@Levahr I tried to get a meter for the dunk but everytime I tried it would just do a layup. My build is more of a rec Inside build 99 standing 99 block 99 offreb. So when I max it out I assume I'll get contacts. Also can you make a specific inside scoring guide, your the only creator I've seen actually making center content.
I wanted to try making a center with no shooting but each time i play against them there easy to guard u can just wait in the paint for them since they cant space the floor
If the offense is doing pick and roll, sitting in the paint won’t help because you have to play pick up defense to help your defender with the screens. Also i wouldn’t use an inside center for 3v3 or 2v2, just 5v5
Yooo. This isn't necessarily the best advice. Launching passes can go bad. First tip make a diming center. 86 or better pass acc. Second if running with random players have a more agile shooting center. You can't hug the paint this 2K. I have a 7'2" that shoots like a sharp! Most C I play are next to automatic and it's super hard to guard outside bigs and get back to rebound. But most of the advice is good.
Thanks for the opinion and support bro💪🏽, but 76 pass accuracy is definitely enough if the passes are done right and timed right. My live streams are proof. Yes, when running with randoms it’s probably recommended to have a shooting center. Me personally, I rather play with people who compliments the playstyle for inside centers since I feel like PnR offense is more effective than 5out offense (which is easily stoppable).

I dunno if you think that's niche or just takes a lot of skill and practice but I would like to know your thoughts if you have the time.
