I live on the East coast of South Africa and mozzies love me in the summertime. I used to use a eucalyptus oil spray which helped a little but now I swear by citronella body butter. Not only does it stop the bites but when I do get the odd one like on my stomach or back of my neck this cream reduces swelling and itching. It's amazing.
Warmer summers….prat…it’s the last full week of June and we’ve just broke 20C for 4days….
" Mosquitos are terrorist " YES
Yes 😂
I used to get bitten all the time wherever I went, even using Deet & other insect repellents that are supposed to work. Thankfully I discovered Incognito spray and haven't been bitten since! It contains PMD a natural insect repellent I bought from Boots. So many mosquitos around this year in the UK probably because of all the wet weather. I'm surprised that they didn't explain how the zapper they show worked, the Zap-Ease also acts like an anti-histamine. Good work This Morning!
We have just got back from Turkey and my wife was bitten 31 times on first night upon arrival
I love fishing and have tried almost everything, including vit b extracts. I could smear myself in Marmite but I’ve found nothing is as effective as using DEET.
Use hand sanitizer (must contain alcohol) on bites to stop itching.
I contacted Ross River fever while visiting Townsville in Queensland Australia..there is no cure..you get a temperature…high fever…aches and pains like arthritis and symptoms similar to chronic fatigue syndrome and Lyme disease…that was 15 years ago and I still have not recovered….I used spray..light clothing…a writs band..hat…but nothing worked..now there is an outbreak of Nile fever in America with similar symptoms.
Friend and I were bitten by tiger mosquitoes in Milan a few years ago and both got serious cellulitis from the bites needing antibiotics and short hospital stay…and can’t say we scratched…def not just an annoyance! The parks in Milan where a lot of the aperitivo bars are and by the canal perfect environment for them
They used to love me but ignore me when I consume high strength garlic and attack the GF instead (also do not drink milk), before they would bite through two pairs of socks so I had wear HD boots all the time and have the mattress on the floor, otherwise they would hide underneath and attack me in the night. My (garlic-free) blood left them in such a blissful state that their mates would zoom in from miles away. Never caught anything in Asia, luckily.
I was badly bitten last summer in London.
I am trying wearing mosquito repellent sunscreen and lotion 🧴 this summer.
So far just two bites this summer.
Mosquitoes and bed bugs ( he got them once in Singapore, once in KL) love my husband whereas they both leave me alone.
I'm very allergic. My GP had a cream made once "if this doesn't help, nothing does" It didn't.
If I don't put the repellent everywhere, I get bitten in the spot where it's not...
Not in Scotland the midges will get them
They changed the formula but if you can get your hands on Avon Skin so soft moisturiser it's the best bug repellent I ever found. My mate in the RAF swears by it!
Can you send a link for product please
From Scotland yawn ...u met the midgie?
Wear a full veil 😂✌🏼❤️
Pretty much 👍
He said global warming is making temperatures higher but it's barely even felt like Spring yet, let alone summer???
How's next week's 25C minimum country-wide going for ya..?
@@MorrisseyMusehahaha you really believe that? Get a grip I’ll belive 25°c minimum country wide when I see it 😂😭😂😭
@@MorrisseyMusemy dog could do a better job at telling me what the weather will be like that our country’s useless weather media
I would rather turn veins to pressure systems ask al jameera
I was eaten alive ,and tried loads of stuff, but only deet works for me...
Love seeing Alison and Dermot 😊😊
We have them in ireland i get destroyed badly infected every year .
Deet is wicked stuff and ruins stuff like plastics
The longest day of the year is today 21st NOT the 20th!
It was the 20th this year.
That confused me too…is it because it was a leap year?
@Tosca767 It's something to do with how the sun and moon move around the earth. So, it can be 20, 21, or 22 June.
I always get badly bitten by Mosquitoes. I swell up like an elephant and it’s so painful and uncomfortable. No matter what I use, it makes no difference. They love me.
They love the smell of me😮
Vampires of the summer .
Use roll on deodorant on your bites the itch will go away 💃🏽💃🏽
Love seeing Alison and Dermot. They are such good presenters. Love the table talk with Sonia and Gyles with Alison and Dermot, those 4 together are so funny love it. Sonia Silvanian Sydney Australia
Yes lets promote nasty chemicals to deal with this issue 🙄...try uping your B vitamin in take either via B vitamin enriched foods like yeast extract or a vitamin B complex supplement or even brewers yeast ... that will help way more and be a long term solution, than spraying chemicals everywhere!!
Sometimes nothing works other than DEET at less than 20% concentration.
💯👏 DEET?! Insane to promote it products like!
There is no scientific evidence to suggest increased consumption of vitamin B12 helps to either prevent mosquito bites or limit the effect of them. Please don’t give out fake advice.
I think you are quite right! I got devoured in southern Portugal and B vitimen deficiency in my family. My And mother and grandmother both had B12 deficiency.
Tiger mosquitos carry malaria so probably best to use chemicals to get rid of them.
Please leave alison and Dermot on every day can't.take.to.the other 2 at all
Don't say mean things. They are just settling in.
They’ve just confirmed Alison Hammond isn’t a human apparently she doesn’t smell like a human
Global warning 🤡🌏
Not global warming. Lol😊
WARNING !!!!! It's global.
Numpty..it’s obvious..the temperature rises…water heats up..ideal conditions for mozzies to breed.
@@CatsandJP Hia Numpty, don't they call that "Global Warming" ...... 🤦♂️
Lol you can't even spell it, nevermind understand it kid lol
I use @Nokemicals happy sunshine sun protection or their pine tar body butter something in their keeps them away vest bit it's natural
