I wholeheartedly agree with you Lee! Just because smaller channel influencers do not have corporation monies being thrown at them, it doesn't mean there isn't great content being produced by them.

Thanks for the heads up. I had seen half of these but I am eager to check the couple I didn't know about. I try to seek out new tubers. I find their work to have a fresh quality, out to do their own thing. I find I prefer international builders/tubers, they don't yell as much, less over energized in their productions. Nice calm videos.

These are very encouraging to me. I have been dismayed in the last year or so as more and more woodworking channels in my feed are those with no narration at all. They are just close ups of a pencil making a mark, then a saw cutting, then a pencil making a mark then a saw cutting, repeat a dozen times vary a little with some bits of wood being glued, then back to marking and cutting again. All to the boring sound of repetitive royalty free music we’ve heard on a million videos before. You only discover what’s being made at the end. What a depressing bunch of boring crap. Thos crop of channels looks a lot more interesting!
Glad to see you doing this. I have a really small channel and for a while I felt I was gaining traction and then just slowed. I'm sure the things you said had a lot to do with it.

Love Mark, he's a great dude! Speaking of different words for things... did you know we call sleeveless t-shits "tank tops"? I saw that Mark calls it a "vest", which is probably more accurate. I'll keep watching you Brits in my feed and I will be keeping my British-to-American dictionary handy 😁

Wholeheartedly agree with your assessment of Sawdust and Splinters! If you watch the intro again you will catch a brief glimpse of her. I may be biased as she’s based in my hometown near Portland ME. If I do another edition of this she may be featured but I’m thinking her channel might be too big by then!

The English one that is the standard size workshops I have a slightly bigger one at 16ft x 10ft shed/ workshop im still building it on inside the hard bit will be sorting out the wheelchair ramp

At mo i have a bench next to that is my bandsaw and thicknesser and planer and on other side is table saw problem I have the wall I need to work on is where wood is stored so it’s like musical chairs all the time but getting there slowly. Forgot to say normal size here is 8ft x 6ft shed or smaller

You never mentioned MY CHANNEL, and I had to laugh just saying that!!! I have a channel here on TH-cam as well, BUT I don't have any content really to speak of!! PART of my problem is, every time I think I will own a computer for a video editing rig, it breaks down!! AND currently the piece of junk I own as a cell phone is more like something that was built ten or fifteen years ago!! In short I DO have an 8mm Sony Handy Cam, that is stereo and records fine!! BUT just yesterday I bought a Firewire cable I need to be able to attach it to my computer!! Which my current computer is a Windows 10 unit, that has just TWO small hard drives in it!! So I do have to upgrade the storage capacity of that soon!! Basically I do, do a lot of wood working, other projects, from electronics to auto repair and construction and metal working!! BUT as of this writing I only have TWO videos on my channel.....and one it that of a winter snow storm, and the other is a break down of my tiny workshop shed when I built it!!
As someone who's shitty lighting and audio may be the only endearing quality of my channel, I take offense good sir. Guess I need to take Cabinet Carl's advice and add those "thangs ya need in ya shop!!!" 🤣🤣🤣
I spend about an hour a day just searching for specific woodworking terms, viewing only 20+ min videos, rearranging them by upload date. I've found almost all of the people you listed by doing this on a regular basis. occasionally I'll search through the 4 to 20 min length videos the same way but there's usually a lot more garbage to wade though (basically every channel called woodworking [insert random word]. Good luck if you don't change the video length parameter. (fucking shorts are the bane of my existence)
You should also try @woodwhisperer. Marc has kind of a small channel but he works really hard and you can tell he’s trying to grow. I suggest giving him a shot! (😂)

I spend about an hour a day just searching for specific woodworking terms, viewing only 20+ min videos, rearranging them by upload date. I've found almost all of the people you listed by doing this on a regular basis. occasionally I'll search through the 4 to 20 min length videos the same way but there's usually a lot more garbage to wade though (basically every channel called woodworking [insert random word]. Good luck if you don't change the video length parameter. (fucking shorts are the bane of my existence)
I'm lucky and get to do this at work because my job involves a lot of free time that I'm allowed to do pretty much whatever I want.
