    Nice workaround!
It’s absolutely inferior to have a product coming out 2020 without sidechain. Even more so that it’s STILL not implemented a whole year later when it’s a frequently requested feature by the entire community.
I love, and dispise LUNA at the same time. I want to like it and use it, but every time I spend a couple of weeks with it I end up asking myself why I spend all this extra time to find workarounds for stuff that just work with literally every other tool on the planet. As I still can’t find an answer, I quit LUNA and go back to my DAW of choice and work happily until I try yet another project in LUNA to see what’s changed 😂
It actually just pisses me off that brilliant solutions like yours even have to be considered on an all digital (and a costly one I might add) platform.
And also, beeing double charged by having to re-buy plugins (like API Vision strip) surely doesn’t help to tone down the level of pissedoffness 😂
Anyways, thanks for the video and the great workaround!

I feel like Luna is trying to stay analog as much as possible as the time passes. I will try this for sure. As a previous Ableton user I miss it. As it’s crucial. Thank you!

@Jason Kittle, I get what you mean. To me it seems like UAD likes to ”stay true” to the analog realm more as an excuse for functionality they can’t (or won’t) implement.
      - ”No, just like on an analog console you can’t do that”.
But for a function that exist they’re like
      - ”of course, as we’re digital we can do as many x as we’d like”.
Hehe, maybe UAD will introduce a new all-analog business model where we pay per instance of the plugins we use as if they were hardware units in the real world 😉
      Cheers!

Also I am trying figure out api vision side chain capabilities. Is that essentially the same concept if you happen to be familiar? I’ll let you know what I find out.

How does it work for software instruments? It triggers another note

Hi Christopher! Thanks for supporting our channel! As it is right now the method I showed only works for audio. However if you take your software instrument, route the output to a virtual channel, create a new audio track and set the input to the same virtual channel, put the LFO tool on that audio track instead.. basically that is the workaround. Hope that helps!
