Fun reaction, Vii! Can't wait for you to react to more from Band-Maid! I hope you get to see them live, they are so much fun. Here's hoping for a world tour supporting their new album (coming out tomorrow as James mentions below) in 2025 after finishing up their current tour in Japan.
Welcome to Band-Maid! The best hard rock band I have heard in my 58 years on this planet. While they don't class themselves as a metal band, they don't stick to any one genre and often mix genres in songs. They are extremely diverse and have an extensive back catalogue featuring Punk, Pop-Punk, Hard-Rock, Classic Rock, Metal, Prog, Blues, Jazz, Groove, Rap etc. From face melting 220 bpm punk-prog mayhem to ballads, instrumentals to acoustics they do it all. They can make you headbang, they can make you pogo, they can make you cry like a baby. They are also five of the nicest people in music, without a shred of ego. They are funny and fun and world class musicians to boot. They are currently into their 12th year with the original line up. Btw, Miku the rhythm guitarist (red rose) formed the band. She had the idea of Band-Maid after working as a maid in Japanese maid cafe's. Her idea is a concept called "The Gap" - that is what you see (cute maids) is NOT what you get (Hard Rock/Punk/Metal). They take the maid café concept literally. They call their concerts "servings" and their fans "Masters and Princesses". Oh, and Miku is an 810 year old small pigeon. Welcome to the pigeon hole Po!
This was the biggest concert Band-Maid had ever performed: a three and a half hour 10th Anniversary Tour Final in front of over 10,000 people at Yokohama Arena. "HATE?" was song number 27 of a 33 song set list. They had kept the energy level on high throughout the show; it was an amazing concert. I got up at about 2:30 AM to watch the live stream of this show and it was ending as the Sun came up over Ohio. I had seen them perform live twice as their tour passed through the Midwest in May of 2023. Their live shows are as good as it gets. 2023 was a busy year for Band-Maid: they did 37 concerts in Japan and North America, wrote and recorded songs for their new album, planned their huge tour final show, and plotted the takeover of their management company (NOT KIDDING!). Band-Maid isn't just an incredibly accomplished rock band. Their back story is about as incredible a journey as you can imagine. The members of Band-Maid are some of the nicest ladies you'll ever meet, but they are hard working businessmen, as well as talented musicians.
Eleven years, over 130 songs, they perform world-wide, and still going strong, still friends, and yet so many of us ( especially in America) knew nothing about them. They are hard rock, but you will notice that they mix various genres. I recommend you watch the seven part series on the history of the band members by Ohrenje. Maidiacs love these women, for who they are as much as their crazy musical talents. They have MVs that are good, but this is a band that shines when performing live. Miku singing in her soprano voice while playing acoustic guitar for a Christmas special, instrumentals that are fabulous like Onset, blistering pace of songs like Black Hole, their early career MV Thrill that generated a huge international response and saved them from being dropped by the production company....it is all so good. Enjoy your trip down the pigeon hole (you will get that after seeing those Ohrenje documentaries). Take it from a guy who has listened to all kinds of music for 7 decades... these gals are great!

Welcome to Japanese Rock and Metal.. Also welcome to the World of Rock and Metal, as there are many countries that have loved this music from the beginning. I had no idea till youtube reactors showed me.😊😊😊
What other band of "cute girls" makes World Domination their mission? Not even in the ballpark as just another band. Perhaps the finest proper rock and roll band of the 21st century! Many are right up there but none have the superior combination of inventiveness, expertise, chutzpah and work ethic of BandMaid in my opinion. The Warning may get there someday soon as they are both proper rock and roll and amazing. New sub here.
This is the 10th Year Anniversary Tou, and as time has gone on they have moved away from the Maid Look except for their founder Miku who still had sort of a Maid uniform.
Lead vocalist - more of a Governess Lead guitarist - goth maid Rhythm guitarist - French maid Drummer - bell boy? bell girl? Bassist - not maid (But supposedly Assassin maid) Not sure whether you mentioned it but this isn’t your first time reacting to them.
I would say that Saiki's outfit looks more like a hostess at a restaurant. I am not sure how to describe the Dark Mincho outfit. Miku is sticking with the classic maid outfit. Akane has some resemblance of a classic maid outfit but it's not all there. Misa no longer wears the assassin outfit so I would say dishwasher or table busser. LOL 😁

Great reaction and from all the fan cams of Band-Maid, their live shows are at a different level. Thanks for reacting to Band-Maid.

Evolution of the Maid uniforms have evolved over 11 years much like BAND-MAID has. Welcome to this pigeon hole.

Any girl can relate the lyrics to one of her exes😅
Welcome Back Home Princess. If you “HATE?” Me that Much, just “I’ll”have to SUB “YOU”😏😁. Thank so much🙏
Check out The Warning . For me the best band of this century. And they have don a coloberation with Band Maid.
Pausing during the solos?? Yet another reactor who isn't really listening. Hopeless.
I think it's a natural good reaction just to get excited about the guitarist and bassist battle and want to say impressions on the spot.
