The mission with Hush in particular is actually considered one of the most disappointing parts of Batman Arkham Knight. Paul Dini, who was one of the co-creators of Batman The Animated Series and the co-writer of the story of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City did not return for Arkham Knight and for that reason they had to drop that storyline which is why some felt that his appearance in Arkham Knight was pretty anticlimactic.
My favourite expansion DLC was the batgirl one. Not because of the story but because of the side-quest you can do by doing all of the carnival games and discovering the backstory to the park involving the Joker and Harley Quinn. At the end you discover that Harley Quinn pushed the park owner to end himself with smilex pills and sign the park over to Joker after they let his daughter die. Makes you realise that the Joker is all kinds of messed up.
I've said this before but I just can't get enough of Wally Wingert's performance as the Riddler. These games have the best depiction of The Riddler outside the comics. Wally Wingert who voiced the character in all 4 games always delivered such an incredible performance that always managed to perfectly capture Riddler's obsessive personality, massive ego and superiority complex. Collecting Nigma's trophies is my favourite side quest in the series where Batman is forced to solve dozens and dozens of little puzzles and challenges. Plus this Riddler is next level arrogant (which I love) and will constantly taunt Batman every step of the way but where he really shines is how he is up his own ass and acts as a sore loser every time Batman outsmarts him. It's for all these reasons that this is truly the best depiction of the character, because him bodies everything that the Riddler should be. He's pompous, self-absorbed, has a massive superiority complex and is literally unable to stop his compulsive riddling. It's Wally's voice I hear in my head when I read comics with Riddler.
31:15 Ah that's a bit unfortunate that you attacked Scarecrow immediately because if you had let him walk around you he would have actually given a speech that is actually one of the best dialogues in the game.
28:14 Personally I always chose to save Ra's as it would have been truer to what Batman would have actually done as demonstrated in the many decades of interactions they have had in the comics. Batman goes out of his way to save all of his villains especially when their lives are in danger. I mean even in the Arkham games Joker was dying in Arkham City and Joker is a far worse person than Ra's al Ghul and despite that Batman said that he still would have saved Joker at the end of Arkham City before he died after stabbing Batman, making him drop the cure. Also Nyssa really isn't that trustworthy or even interesting a character in the comics and unlike Ra's and Talia, Nyssa was introduced in the comics only in the early 2000's, so she doesn't have nearly as much history as they do. Sure Ra's being alive might be bad for the world but more interesting for storytelling. At the end when Ra's told Batman that he was proud of him, it was meant as the biggest insult Batman could have heard from him, because he did the thing Ra's wanted him to do for so many years and what Ra's would have done in his position.

Before the game came out, the developers tried to hype up the Arkham Knight character as an "original character created for the story" despite the fact that majority of people had already guessed that it was Jason Todd and even after they said it, he still remained the one most people thought it was going to be. Despite the Arkham Knight being the title character of the game, it often feels like a complete afterthought and the whole "Arkham Knight" identity kind of felt like an excuse to include the word Arkham in the title. And regarding Jason's death, in the comics it wasn't staged. He was in Africa looking for his biological mother and to his surprise found Joker blackmailing her and was later beaten by him until Joker killed Jason by blowing up the building he was in with explosives and Batman finds his body but Jason is later resurrected by Talia al Ghūl whereas in the game it's stated that Jason was held captive for over a year in an abandoned part of Arkham Asylum. It just feels like a poorly thought out plot twist that even people who took a quick galnce the Jason Todd's wiki coud figure out this was an adaptation of Jason as Red Hood by having him as the Arkham Knight.
I really didn’t like how Gotham looked in this game. In Arkham City’s background you see a giant gothic metropolis. The buildings stretch out into the sky and it looked really cool. This game is a hot wheels track on 3 small islands. Its very detailed but I still want a true gotham experience one day. People always tell me that it wouldn’t work with the gameplay but I disagree. I think it would have made it more fun. You could have predator maps that are on multiple levels of a skyscraper. The interconnected skyscrapers would make gliding more fun. You would actually have to navigate the city. You would basically have some platforming sections in the sky instead of just diving every few sections.
The only reason it doesn't work for the gameplay in knight is because of the batmobile, if that wasn't in the game 100% they could've gone way more giant gothic structures and made it fit in more with the comics. For me it was the best looking out of the 4 games but definitely couldve been improved upon greatly 💪🏻👔
Damian Wayne should have been the Arkham Knight. It would explain where the money for the militia came from, Batman wouldn't have known about him until this game which explains why he isn't mentioned before in the series, and he would be blaming Batman for his mother's death.
the stealth in this game still isnt an option lmaoo. If you're not careful in stealh on the hardest difficulty you will die no matter how maxed out you are. if anything the new gagets are geared towards stealth.
I feel like there was such a missed opportunity with Jason being sorta brainwashed by joker. Like Batman is being influenced by joker as well so they should’ve treated Jason as what Batman could become if is overcome by the joker. Jason can just reveal himself early or Batman can figure out who he is which would allow for a better comparison imo. Great video, it’s nice to see a completed quadrilogy
I will be so honest with you, I’ve done the full 240% on hard and knightmare and every time they became available I would finish all the side quests before even approaching the main ones 💀
@@Guyinthetie yea that’s fair, my gremlin brain just like clearing out all the militia lol, I’m always so shocked seeing other people actually have bases on their maps
33:41 Harley's design in this game is an improvement over the ones in the previous games (her design in Asylum was terrible), for me still nothing will ever top her original black and red jester outfit.
In my opinion the story was almost better than city "almost" Knight just had this weird feeling to it. Like was it scarecrow being the main villain? Or Arkham Knights identity? Either way it felt off. Combat was amazing, honestly the most fun I've ever had on a combat game. Stealth was meh like in all arkham games, but we had lots of gadgets at our disposal such as the disruptor, rhd and voice synthizise. The other great thing about Knight is it's munu and upgrade shop, it felt very easy on the eyes aswell very neat. (origins had the worst menu BTW imo) the connection with ivy was great aswell, having her help throughout the story was fun along with lucius, Alfred and Oracle. Although the milita aren't as good as the tyger guards or aswell trained they come close to defeating batman a couple of times ig. I think we should've gotten deathatroke to replace scarecrow, I think it would've made more sense to do. The batmobile was interesting to say the least, it was fun to use dont get me wrong but it was the main flaw of the game! The tanks and the batmobile was just annoying and disruptive. Like going to lucius for a car upgrade they just bust in the wall like it's normal and annoy the shit out of me. Nightfall was cool ig leaving to interpretation was nice.
Yeah knight and scarecrow fight to take the spotlight and nothing comes of it, not sure if bad writing or they were just set up to fail with the joker being so prominent
Scarecrow wanted to destroy the myth of the Batman, he allowed evacuation because Batman was the focus, he covered Gotham in gas to show him he was not invincible, then he'd finish by revealing the man under the mask, it's great!
47:49 Yeah, this is where I quit the game. I had actually beat every mission, including the side missions, aside from the riddler one and I just called it there. I ain't wasting my time searching for every single riddle trophy and puzzle.
Man I want to do a video but it's hard with it being live services, will definitely go in as a "was it that bad" video and no one will be shocked at the answer 🤣
Jee willikers batman, the green jonkler is back. Bro really did the mind goblin move and was like ‘did you miss me?’. Also the riddler? More like the rizzler am I right or am I right lads. Great vid as always time, finally got round to watching it all love. 10/10 distracted me from the reality of life 💅
This game took such a weird approach with Tim Drake. It really wasn't a great adaptation of the character and didn't even really feel like him. Aside from the fact that Tim is a teenager in the comics, he's also supposed to be the smartest person in the Bat-Family, even more so than Batman, to the point where Batman has said that one day Tim will be the world's greatest detective, and yet that is hardly utilised in this game. He really just stayed in a lab for most of the game and just moaned about Barbara. And that's another thing, they gave him many personality traits that are supposed to be synonymous with Dick Grayson and not Tim and the most evident example is being in a relationship with Barbara which was such a bizarre decision considering that Dick and Barbara are one of the most famous couples in comic books. Also I don't understand why they chose to make Tim Drake bald in the game.
Scarecrow recruited the Knight because he had information on Batman and an entire military scarecrows plot the entire time is to show that Batman is not a legend so he gasses the city to show he has failed but when it clears up he decides he'll show everyone his identity and prove he's just a man hope this helped explain the plot
I would find it interesting if u look at the 3DS game which has later been ported to PC. It’s neat There’s also the Wii U version of City as it’s weirdly different
@@GuyinthetieI wouldn’t say it’s really a risk since it’d be a year or more since he was presumed dead. It made more sense to me that it was him because he was working with scarecrow and he certainly couldn’t go himself. That’s what I think the red hood he was wearing was for too. Plus, I’m pretty sure anarky was dead by this point considering the clues left that showed he was possibly eaten by croc
That does make sense, think I'm just going to keep it as anarky in my head cannon so he actually contributes to something quite big 🤣 but that's just a theory... A game theory
Those are not enough to keep a game enjoyable on their own, batman needs good beat em up sections, finely crafted stealth sections and a fun plot at the very least, this game only has 1 out of the 3 💪🏻👔
@Guyinthetie Recently replayed it and hate given to it is overblown. Story is good and gameplay is great. Main issues game actually has is low resolution on consoles looks very blurry, batmobile is fun to play but does get tiresome near end, and some boss battles should've been hand to hand or stealth. Usually when story is scrutinized its people that regurgitate the same old points. My favorite is why couldnt batman escape scarecrow when locked in stretcher and gave up belt. If actual played the game and paid attention you'd know why. Or Jason Todd reveal. I didnt like that they said it was og character but that is outside the actual story. But whatever game is good not a pos like you're making it out to be. Stealth is good some better gadgets to mess with. But your opinion at this point is the minority most people have gone back to it and understand hate given to it was over the top and game is good. And a game doesnt need a fun plot to be good that is a very ignorant thing to say. A game can have a fun, serious, scary, or goofy plot doesn't have to be boxed into one thing to be good. Last of us doesn't have a fun plot but still a great game. But watch your reply be Last of us sucks. 🤣✌️
It's so much that it's far worse but I never liked these in the Arkham games.. any of them. But does feel like added insult to injury that his quest line that was really good is locked behind collecting them all rather then an optional achievement 💪🏻👔
6:30 Jonathan Banks plays Mike in Breaking Bad. There wasn't anyone named Frank. Also I'm actually watching Better Call Saul currently and I'm at season 5 and Jonathan has was more of a spotlight than in Breaking Bad. If you haven't seen it I definitely recommend it.
In Arkham Knight, Scarecrow is built up as the main villain but Joker completely overshadows him, only this time they bring him back from the dead with a way that makes zero sense. Everything with Joker's blood turning other people into versions of himself was widely criticised and hated by fans. Joker's unique personality being able to be recreated through chemical means diminishes his character and takes away his uniqueness. The chemicals Joker originally fell into only changed his skin and hair colour. His fractured and arranged mind was a part of his intrigue and mystery and wasn't related to the chemicals. Also considering how little of the antidote was left in Arkham City the other people infected with Joker's blood should have died and not turn into him. The problem wasn't that Joker was in the game, the problem was how he was in the game. The infamous Arkham Knight reveal was guessed by pretty much every comic then as it was painfully obvious for people familiar with the character and for people that weren't it didn't have nearly the emotional impact they wanted in the story. The rest of the Bat family are treated kind of terribly and will get it to the side especially Tim Drake, who is supposed to be a teenager in the comics, and yet in this game he is in a relationship with Barbara which was hated by fans. Barbara in the comics is much older than Tim and is in a relationship with Dick Grayson. Also Robin's design was pretty terrible by making him bald. The pacing was all over the place and the game often felt like it came to a grinding halt at times, especially during the mission with Harley Quinn who is completely uninteresting in the game. Pretty much everyone complained about Arkham Knight having pretty much zero good or at least memorable boss flights. Obviously one of the biggest criticisms was this major overuse of the Batmobile and turning it into a tank which took pretty much 50% of the game if not more. It can be often quite fun to use, but there are instances where you wish it was just destroyed. I also always describe batmobile designs that make it look like a tank. The previous designs for the Batmobile letter field in Arkham that appeared in Arkham Asylum was way better. While there were a few standouts, most of the side missions were really brief and anticlimactic as well, like for example Two-Face, Firefly, Azrael, Deacon Blackfire and especially Hush and that's hardly the only ones. The worst mission was by far Deathstroke's which had an awful and unimaginably anti-climactic ending especially after everyone requested that he returned since he was such a fan favourite in Arkham Origins.

How come no one is talking about the grey ghost refrence aka in universe batman's inspiration
the stealth in this game still isnt an option lmaoo. If you're not careful in stealh on the hardest difficulty you will die no matter how maxed out you are. if anything the new gagets are geared towards stealth.
The man bat thing, play on Halloween after capturing him. It HAS TO BE Halloween irl
Maybe have Jason appear like he's an hallucination throughout the game and then you realise no this is just how he is now? 💪🏻👔
And there was never another arkham game ever released.
The End.
And then batman blew up... The end .
Arkham Knight was The First M Rated Batman Game one day I want a Live Action Rated R Batman Film that releases in movie theaters
That would be huge 💪🏻👔

Arkham Knight is way better than city.
Agreed 👍🏻
I’m sorry but johnathan banks did not play a guy named frank in breaking bad😭 he played a kid named finger “mike ermantraut”
Massive slip up on my part... Can't believe I didn't catch it 😭
Was his name frank in community yeah?
I will be so honest with you, I’ve done the full 240% on hard and knightmare and every time they became available I would finish all the side quests before even approaching the main ones 💀
I tried waiting for moments where Alfred says to go do them as there is down time in the story but still felt awfully forced
Still can't get over how much they cooked on her original style costume on this game jesus 💪🏻👔
I acc prefer her SS outfit. I find it so weird and creepy when games fetishise people like this.
I’m not a white knight or anything either.
Imagine Harley becoming an ally because Batman’s “Got the Joker in him.”
Knight is still my favorite. I replayed all arkham games within the past month. Loved all your arkham vids. Asylum is my 2nd fav.

Scarecrow wanted to destroy the myth of the Batman, he allowed evacuation because Batman was the focus, he covered Gotham in gas to show him he was not invincible, then he'd finish by revealing the man under the mask, it's great!
Fair, I just didn't enjoy it 😕
That and the gas cloud was made to take out the entire eastern seaboard not just Gotham
Ah so even those who evacuated wouldn't get far enough so if didn't matter, thanks that makes more sense
@@Guyinthetie yup in the game Oracle tells you this in a cut scene, Crane just wanted to give Batman and Gotham false hope
@@kwayneboy1524it's not told in a cutscene, Oracle tells u in gameplay at Ace Chemicals.
Obviously, it’s very difficult to do battle at times with the Batmobile
Not my favorite game in the trilogy but it’s still really good.
Gameplay wise it's excellent but overall nothing beats asylum for me 💪🏻👔
@@Guyinthetie Exactly, Asylums the 🐐

"kinda"
47:49 Yeah, this is where I quit the game. I had actually beat every mission, including the side missions, aside from the riddler one and I just called it there. I ain't wasting my time searching for every single riddle trophy and puzzle.
It was such a bad move as without the last cutscene the game doesn't feel like it has an ending at all...
I'm really all in on this channel istg, thank you, oh thank you for focusing on the important parts of the story, the jiggle physics.

Joker is the og Johnny Silverhand
Bro thought I would not peep the great deku tree from ocarina of time.

The Joker is the best part of the game because of how fucking funny through the game, from pretending to be shot, to how he delivers the jokes.
The stand off he does with the militia is one of the best joke moments in the game 🤣 or when he's struggling to open the vent 🤣🤣
your videos are so high quality so I'll leave a comment for the algorithm
Absolute king thank you 💪🏻👔
Since kill the justice league is supposedly canon to the arkham series you gotta do one video on it too. Really funny to see your comments.
Man I want to do a video but it's hard with it being live services, will definitely go in as a "was it that bad" video and no one will be shocked at the answer 🤣
I was drinking as he said “we’ve shared bodily fluids”
I’m more interested with finding professor PYG (Valentine lol his side mission is creepy but awesome. I didn’t finish the game yet

3:38 bro don’t do that lol Bruce and Jason. They’re both my boys mistakes happen. 😂😂
The Arkham knight has the best combat scenes!
Probably the best beat em up gameplay I have ever tried 💪🏻👔
Honestly the boss fights are what holds this game back
I think if they were removed there would be barely anything keeping me going to end game 💪🏻👔
@@Guyinthetie I’m not saying to remove them I just think they could have made them better and more versatile
100% agree, more boss fights like the freeze one from city would be great 💪🏻👔
Would've been a 10/10 game if they didnt cut out the 1 hour sex mini game with joker and batman
I was waiting 20+ hours for that scene and was disappointed they cut it tbh 💪🏻👔
Jee willikers batman, the green jonkler is back. Bro really did the mind goblin move and was like ‘did you miss me?’. Also the riddler? More like the rizzler am I right or am I right lads.
Great vid as always time, finally got round to watching it all love. 10/10 distracted me from the reality of life 💅
Jonkler really did the haha this time, thanks bro always appreciate you Ali 💪🏻👔
I think Arkham knight is the best in the series. There is a video by hitop films..
You should do another series and test bad games and make the series “was it really that bad” you could try do ssktjl or Gotham knights
Check the channel you might be surprised 👀

Guyinthetie uploaded we have to party

I would find it interesting if u look at the 3DS game which has later been ported to PC. It’s neat
There’s also the Wii U version of City as it’s weirdly different

Pretty sure the hooded guy at the diner is Jason Todd
You think the A was for Arkham? That's interesting for sure but would Jason risk showing his face in gotham before fighting batman?
@@GuyinthetieI wouldn’t say it’s really a risk since it’d be a year or more since he was presumed dead. It made more sense to me that it was him because he was working with scarecrow and he certainly couldn’t go himself. That’s what I think the red hood he was wearing was for too. Plus, I’m pretty sure anarky was dead by this point considering the clues left that showed he was possibly eaten by croc
That does make sense, think I'm just going to keep it as anarky in my head cannon so he actually contributes to something quite big 🤣 but that's just a theory... A game theory
"Game would be dead to me if wasnt for the combat.......but like music........batmobile......Joker...............yeah just the combat.......hmph" 😂
Last of us sucks
@@Guyinthetie Im shocked 🤣
Why is jonkler not let man be, is the lor raison?
Why do people complain about riddler in this game like it’s sooo bad as if Arkham city doesn’t have 440 challenges… compared to 243…
It's so much that it's far worse but I never liked these in the Arkham games.. any of them.
But does feel like added insult to injury that his quest line that was really good is locked behind collecting them all rather then an optional achievement 💪🏻👔

My personal fav tbh
The gameplay is fire 💪🏻👔
