From what I could gather, however, some of you are concerned by the lack of difficulty or unique moves. Fortunately, as stated in the description, *footage is from a work-in-progress* and the mod has indeed not been released yet, since I too think there's much room from improvement. 😉 *Thank you for your attention and support!* 🫶
Definitely interested to see what she is capable of when the mod is finished by the way do you think she should have destined death attacks added to her arsenal?
The idea of actually fighting Melina as a postgame boss fits so well, though I imagine you'd have to inherit the flame before reaching Farum Azula. Only thing I'll say is that the fight does look a bit on the easy side, especially when at range, but that could just be me. Either way, looking forward to this!
Thanks! Also yes, although this version of Melina will deal a lot of damage, I'd like her to be able to use a variety of new moves or expand upon the ones she already has. It's still early work-in-progress, so you may expect something faster paced on release. 👍
I like this idea since the gloam eyed queen is supposed to be tied to black flame users and destined death somewhat. Maybe have her erdtree incant also cast a black flame air in phase 2 since she burned the real thing. I think the only other significant change would be to have her try to close distance more since the projectiles aren't as threatening as her combos.@@Lazymindflayerwithcofffee
The main reason you get the frenzied flame is to not kill mellina , so fighting her and killing her just ruins the whole purpose of this ending so that's kind of why we don't have it
@@erfanhamedi9761that’s all fine and dandy but this fight can still be warranted and canon as the tarnished sacrifices themselves to be the kindling to burn the Erdtree not only saving Melina from dying but ROBBING her of her fate and leaving her to roam what remains the lands between alone, also we kill her trusted companion Torrent. More importantly once our head catches on fire, just like Midra, we give our body as vessel for the Three fingers and essentially have our spirit consumed and die letting the Outer God of Chaos use our body as a avatar.. sadly this could’ve been avoided but the tarnished basically keeps a steel trap on explaining to Melina why we want to burn the Erdtree in her place. She begs us not too and abandons us out of pity and disappointment thinking we’re just as power hungry and terrible as her siblings, all the while we’re only doing it to save her. (Shab never tells us what will happen to us or the Lands between AFTER we burn the Erdtree by the way) So no.. we would fight Melina and this fight is perfectly poetic and canon to me because in us trying to save Melina we let a chaotic god kill everyone including our self to only be challenged and put down by the one we tried to save in the first place. I believe canonically if the story continues down the frenzied flame route Melina/Gloam eyed queen would succeed in killing us only to understand why we did it and pity that we allowed our body to be used by the frenzied flame just to save her. Ultimately meaningless as the world was destroyed and Melina wouldn’t have any place to call home anyway. It’s a great ending and a bittersweet nihilistic one at that
Great idea but I felt like she's way too weak. For someone who's planning to deliver death to the guy who killed countless legends, demigods, and even god himself, she should've been a million times stronger.
Welp. Maliket defeat her before and we killed Maliket. Even if it's true that she is gloam eye queen, that doesn't mean anything to the tarnished. She is just another god to be killed. Having a power to deliver death doesn't mean she is powerful. Destined death in elden ring doesn't work like writing someone's name on a death note. I mean, godskin noble and apostle basically just a joke characters in elden ring, despite them having the flame of destined death themselves
@@chakravartin3356 that has nothing to do with it I'm saying someone who wants to challenge the guy who killed demigods and gods should at least be a challenge This mod did not do a great job at making her a difficult boss Destined death has nothing to do with how strong a person is, but promising to kill someone should be something you can back up with skill and strength.
It wouldn't be lore acutate though... if we go eith the assumption that Melina is the gloam eyed queen, this means her difficulty is bound by maliketh. What i mean is that since maliketh defeated her in lore, we can expect something comparable to maliketh. It's hard to compare bosses bc they have so much robust abilities, but generally we can expect something like that.
@@hellogoodbye3786 I don't care about lore accurateness because if we really want the bosses to be 100% lore accurate then Malekith would be the hardest boss in the entire game and it's not even close. As you said, we shouldn't expect something harder than Malekith for a Melina boss, but would you look at this? The mod made Melina barely more of an inconvenience than magrit. I don't really understand why you people don't want a harder boss. You get dopamine from killing something weak as hell? Go fight random soldiers running around or something, I want hard bosses
@@Swarthy. Firts no Maliketh wouldnt be hardest elden beast would. Second: Yeah she is trying to defeat lord of frenzied flame and elden ring is reforged at this point it could be more interesting fight and more chalenging one at that.
This is pretty damn cool! I can see you’re a little interested in feedback; I don’t know for sure what is or isn’t possible with modding, but, if possible, it would be pretty cool if the battle took place in the Ashen Capital after the tree burns, under the Frenzied Flame sky. Kami Sensei (I think that’s their channel name) has a neat video showcasing them wandering around and using the free camera to explore that environment. Maybe it’s not possible because transitioning back to the game after the ending cutscene doesn’t sound feasible, but I feel like it’s conceptually a good idea at least. And, as you’ve gathered, incorporating black flame with some of her attacks would be fitting. Of course, all you must do, is take your time, and realize your own vision. This was just my two cents. I’m looking forward to seeing a full release! Good work!
Melina thinkng she'd be a threat to the Lord of Frenzied Flame when she struggles against Morgott and is outclassed by Dung Eater in every regard always makes me smile
We're talking about unsealed Melina here. If the speculations are right and Marika did seal the Gloam-Eyed Queen within Melina, then she has more than what it takes to kill him, specially since the rune of Destined Death has been released, so the Lord of Frienzied Flame has only one life.
@@dearcastiel4667thing is, the Tarnished is super op. Like, he killed every demigod in the lands between and no hit Maliketh. She thinks she can kill us?
@@thesithofearth3617The Tarnished didn’t no-hit Maliketh. What are you talking about ? Lorewise, the Rune of Death make death permanent, it doesn’t one-shot you. Especially not the Incomplete Rune that Maliketh kept after the night of the Black Knives.
Unless she retrieved the Rune of Death, i dont think she could use black flames. Her body was burnt to ashes after all... All we are interacting with is her spirit form, born by her mother from within the Erdtree.
the Flame of Frenzy is known for its ability to kill spirits. Torrent cannocially dies during this ending, yet Melina somehow survives despite her being a bodiless spirit. This raised more questions than answers 😵💫
This should definitely be a phase 1 with some additions, maybe add something like Malekith style move like his Destined Death move or add black flame from Godskins to represent her using the fully unified rune of death on the Tarnished.
You know she says destined death right? So what if at half or second health bar she uses a black knife in 1 hand and a nother hand her dagger and uses the animation that rellanan uses to ignite her weapon like magjc and fire, it could it be done the same for her? Both of ger weapons death and holy turning on and then her attacks been deadlier?
Looking forward to this. I couldn't find anyway through Smithbox to give Melina new spells/moves since she doesn't have a CharaInitParam entry but since you're working on this I will wait until you finish the full version so I can try it out.
For someone who is following in the footsteps of the GEQ, there's a distinct lack of destined death going on. Blackflame, true destined death or maybe even a new version of the goldflame.
