Brilliant! You and Kate Wolf are the best folk musicians I have heard ! There's no effort in your playing and Kate's singing. Thank you for sharing your talent.
I love this woman and her muse... so sad to have missed Ms. Wolf where I first heard this virtuoso string player of all things plus excellent chromatic harmonica
I just saw her Friday in Grass Valley, CA supporting Karla Bonoff. I've seen Nina before and felt she was quite a competent guitarist then. But what saw and heard from her Friday was incredible. A total grasp and control of her chosen instrument. She coaxed a variety of tonal qualities and techniques from her yellow Fender Strat that left me breathless. I loved how she used the vibrato bar making her guitar sound like a steel guitar at times. I am now a fan and will follow her career closer
I first heard Nina with Kate Wolf on ACL maybe 30 years ago--or more--thought it was some of the prettiest, most delicate guitar work I'd ever heard. And I've heard a lotta stuff. So glad to get these recordings.
Love her energy and spirit. Amazing talent
This was super rad to hear spelled out in all the detail!
Been a fan of Nina since the Kate Wolf days. You should hear her play the mandolin.
thanks for the tips, I'm totally with her on her take on things
Love you Nina!
You've always inspired me.
God bless you.
A fantastic guitar player!
An interesting and informative demonstration from Ms. G. Thank you.
[Tyneside, England.]
great tone. great playing.
Dang, the little jam she does at the end is kickin!
Beautiful picking, hope to jam some day.
Magic fingers - superb. Peter Turner, England.
Man, this woman is amazing. And her tone is flawless. I've just received a brand new Martin 00015 and it comes naked. No electronics. I really want to capture a sound much like she has, only traveling a bit lighter. Any ideas what kind of pickup I should get?
Also there's a dog sleeping back there.
🙏
Whoa! It just doesn't get any prettier than that!!! I want to be her! ♪
