      Hi, thanks for watching, I use onshape, it's feature rich (although I only scratch the surface) is free for makers, and runs in the browser, I have used sketchup in the past but it's not so good for 3D printing, and Tinkercad, which is a great place to start, but isn't parametric, which for the way I like to design is essential.

      @DIYTinkerer Thanks, I've been struggling along with FreeCad. Slowly getting there, but it isn't easy!

      @rakeng I tried freecad a while back and gave up, I was thinking of trying again now I'm OK with the concepts...

      @DIYTinkerer I bought a kindle book to help, but ran into issues that it didn't deal with. I got more help on the basics from TH-cam.
      Good luck, I'm sure you'll manage! I've also been looking at Alibre, the one off cost isn't too bad, and it means I can use it without relying on a good internet connection, as I spend two months a year abroad with expensive broadband!
