Sheyla Bonnick can never claim to do Boney M. live shows since she was not part of this group. She is still making fame based on a promotion photo from 1975 which presented a pre-line up of Boney M. Bonnick was never part of Boney M., here voice is not heard on a single Boney M. recording, she never did one (TV) performance with Boney M. She only appeared on a promotional photo which was made before Boney M. excisted. Marcia Barrett, who is together with Liz Mitchell one of the 2 female vocalists of Boney M. confirms the above in her new book and stated that Sheila Bonnick auditioned for Frank Farian, but she didn't pass the audition. Probably part of the audtion was to make a photo, which probably was used incidentely before Frank Farian formed the group. Now that hasn't stopped her from using that ancient photo, claiming that she is an 'original member of Boney M.' and now forming her own version. She works with the name of Boney M. because she goes out so cheaply and undercuts those who can really claim to have been part of the original Boney M. (Liz Mitchell, Marcia Barrett and Maizie Williams). Bonnick was for a little while member of Maizie's line up, but that still doesn't make her an 'original member'. Bonnick is a cheap woman who failed to have succesfull singing career herself and takes advantage of the success of Bobby, Marcia, Maizie and Liz. How low can you go... and how desperate and frustrated must she be...

Magnificent. Can't wait for Sheyla Bonnick's album in the new Matzar music genre to be released, called LOOK BEYOND, on which this beautiful song 'Changes' features. Sheyla Bonnick was a founder member of Boney M. She was the youngest - and the activities of another founder member forced her out.
Boney M did well enough, but think how much better they would have done had Sheyla stayed, instead of a non-singing member. Who knows, they might even have conquered the USA. Sheyla gives concerts all over the world, both of Boney M songs and her own compositions.

Everything to do with Boney M! She helped lay down the foundations for their later fame. And is invited all over the world to perform Her Sounds of Boney M show, as well as songs from her album LOOK BEYOND.

Are you stupid? or just very ignorant? Maybe both? Sheyla does not and never has claimed to be "the" Boney M, and her show is humbly promoted as a tribute to the music of Boney M anyway, even though she IS an original member of the original concept. Does she sound like she is trying to imitate Liz Mitchell? Do you hear Liz Mitchell's voice on playback? No you don't because Sheyla is a true, live performer who doesn't need to sing over anyone else's voice and actually brings her own style to the classic songs. You also fail to acknowledge that Changes is HER OWN song and Babylon can be sang by ANYONE!! It is words from the bible, no one owns the rights to it!! Frank Farian made a pop version following an earlier reggae version but no one needs to get clearance or permission to perform this song. Lets also mention that Sunny is cover from Bobby Hebb, Painter Man is cover from Creation, No Woman No Cry is a Bob Marley cover, Brown Girl in the Ring is a traditional Jamaican nursery rhyme. You are pissing in the wind in trying to say she has stolen anything here. Even One Way Ticket, a Frank Farian hit via Eruption and not Boney M (as some believe incorrectly) was written and originally recorded by the legendary Neil Sedaka. Boney M are way too complicated for anyone to be a purist about who has any rights or who is the best singer. None of the singers wrote the songs or own any rights to them or the name, and as Frank Farian has never opposed Sheyla, the nasty, bitter comments of others is totally redundant. If you dislike Sheyla and her work so much then why not take your complaints to Mr Farian himself? Probably won't get you very far but in reality, he is the only one who could change anything.

@MUSIC WORLD VISION I'm not always sure whether you are supporting or against Sheyla but that's your personal choice either way. You make a very good point about The Melodians of course. However, no one needs to pay royalties for performing cover versions of famous songs in their shows unless they are trying to sell a recorded version in the hit parade. My points to defend Sheyla Bonnick and her Boney M show are based on the fact that she DOES NOT in any way try to sell the songs as her own, nor does she claim to be the singer on the hit recordings. The argument over who is who and who has what rights, could go on forever with a group like this but at the end of the day, it's a variation of the original concept featuring someone who WAS genuinely involved. If she gave poor performances and didn't do justice to the legacy then there would be a good case for trashing her but her shows give a lot more talent and entertainment qualities than other ex members

Shaq Shaq - do you have trouble reading and understanding? It clearly states SHEYLA BONNICK's BONEY M. Boney M as such no longer exist - their founder Frank Farian disbanded them in the mid 1980's. Sheyla Bonnick was a founder member - there before Liz Mitchell, Marcia Barrett and Bobby Farrell. Each former member formed their own group, led by an original Boney M member. And there are also tribute groups. The beautiful song "Changes that Sheyla sang is from her forthcoming album LOOK BEYOND - a new musical genre of Matzar music. The motivating words are by Sheyla, and she is also the co-composer. This is a wonderfully versatile woman. Not only has she a great voice, she is also an author and games inventor. And judging by the number of requests she receives to give concerts all over the world, her Boney M group might even be the most popular.
