Best part is, I'm from North Vista and my sister in Serangoon. Idk about Serangoon, but I can confirm that NV's toilets are the scariest especially if you are a girl and you came across a toilet stall stained with period blood💀 Honestly, the teachers aren't that bad, but let's just say that the school is a breeding ground for class fights. Worst part is that my class happened to be "infamous" due to most of the students directly insulting teachers and sometimes assaulting each other. I also agree about having elevators in the school, most of the students with injured legs have to struggle climbing up the stairs even with crutches. About the teachers, it depends on how you respect them, they are like "you sabo me, I sabo you" in a sense. But yeah, despite these imperfections, NV is actually quite a good school... most of the times at least :/

NVSS is my alma Mater. One of the best feature is the piano which is free to use and the spiral staircases. Not sure if it's still there as it has been more than 20 years The principal has also changed. My times is still Mr lim Lai chuan
Graduated in 2021, yes the piano is still there. I now studying in ite east and it still does better than nvss Even the toilet there is so much cleaner. Principal and his loudspeaker is quite stupid though

The education system particularly with regards to how morality is taught (or not taught!) is a complete failure...sure you can boast about how excellent some schools are or some students are when it comes to producing factory-like academic results...but they don't focus on affirmative personal development and to give students insight into positive possibilities as they grow up that would nurture their talents and interests rather than national expectations....so, many fall by the wayside only to be bombarded by extraneous homework burden, overwhelming workload from endless time-consuming remedial classes as if that would compensate and recover...quantity over quality...utter ridiculous... worse is when teachers stupidly find fault and like birdwatching, try to spot children as if they come from broken homes... but without any sense of self -reflection and overlooking impact over the long term, as if their tunnel vision is fixed on getting rewards or fat bonuses rather than reminding themselves the crucial importance of attachment to home and parents, the teachers trigger CPS which then without proper investigations preceding, exacerbate situations over the slightest silly excuse like blaming a parent for not sending the child on almost the last day of school in november which then lead to a spiral descent into limbo and hell or worse oblivion (wonder why we dont produce orwells, newtons, musks, mother teresas or even pink floyds?)....ever gradually worsening the child's confidence and self-esteem especially if he/she is frm minority group, then it devolved to become deviancy, rebelliousness, truancy, delinquency, you name it, leading to the riots the kind you hold your breath at orchard, as birds of a feather flock together, and then become a stereotyping paradigm which then leads to a neverending vicious spiral... but you can be rest assured the leaders still have no clue while sitting in ivory towers churning out even stricter rules that make all the animals in the farm fatter or skinnier from the money they eat or vomit depending on which side of the fence they are at, but all even grumpier than ever, spilling into other set pieces as road rages, suicides and so-called dissenting protests....brrrr....sure go on, keep seeing through rose-tinted glasses and keep bragging about how the brains are smart and clean in singapore while you cant buy grace and humility...stop putting people on pedestals only then we can stop putting people on gallows...
