Really I watch Vishnu sir's movies wholeheartedly directed by u sir; Guru shishyaru, Karna, Matte haditu kogile, shanthi Nivasa, Karunamayi, Jananayaka.. Still more.. All r Sooperrrrrrbbb movies..👌 Thank you for giving us the legend directors like S. Narayan sir, Phani Ramachandra sir...u r one of the best ever remembering directors.. Please do direct movies..

No I dont think it was set back for kannada industry. Remake is OK, But it should be adopted for local nativity, So that we feel the story belongs to me or my neighbor. If you have viewed all those films of S Narayan, Lot of effort has gone in to bring Kannada nativity. But there few remakes which are blindly remade, clearly show that there is no effort put to adopt it to Kannada nativity. In a way if you take, all the stories will have some source of inspiration, language would not be a barrier for this. In remakes extent of inspiration is large.
@@amazer6915 A simple reason why remakes are frowned upon nowadays is that, for the same budget that a producer puts to buy the remake rights and make the film in kannada, the same producer can invest that amount of money in travelling around the state, observing and understanding cultures, searching for good native original stories from authentic Karnataka. Basically, our own nativity based good novels/books or real situations or real incidents or real inspiring people can be studied and used to develop good screenplay and make high quality movies out of it for our audience. For example, look at Ondu Motteya Kathe, Godhi Banna, Sarkari Prathamika etc., These are all based on real stories which are original. Essentially, producers and filmmakers become extremely lazy and inactive when they start depending completely on remakes, which is what happened in KFI for more than a decade, from late 1990s to early 2010s. Now from the last decade's latter half, we are starting to finally see more and more swamakes being made with true passion and zeal by many of our producers. This is what many fail to grasp when someone talks bad about remakes and its impact on KFI specifically. However, remakes are good only when the story is really unique. For ex, Aptha Mithra is the best example of a well made remake customised for kannada nativity. But, movies like Odeya or such similar commercial movies which are remade is completely pointless.

Producers may be making money, but they are reducing Kannada film industry to second grade in front of others. Following is the real life experience: I was working for an MNC in Bangalore (year 2001 to 2003), where many employees were from other states. They wanted to watch Kannada Movie, I was eager to take them to movie. They would ask me names of the good movies to watch and brief storyline of that movie. The moment I tell them story, they would point out original movie is from other language. I felt embarrassed. As I did not watch other south indian language movie, I was not aware that so many of our movies are copied !!!
Sir I was watching "Pranasnehitha" yesterday, I noticed the voice-over/dubbing was not done by Shankar anna for his role it was definitely done by a mimicri artist.. what is the reason for that? Was it Shankar Anna's demise? Pls pls talk about it..
