Great video Van. I think its easy as a novice carver to make a big mistake and think the project can't be saved. I myself have only been carving for less than a year, but one of the most satisfying lessons I have learned is that you can almost always carve deeper. The end result might be a lot smaller than you intended but a finished carving is better than a piece of firewood! I can't tell you how many times I have been carving a face, only to be unhappy with the results, before carving the detail off entirely and starting again. It has resulted in in some of the best faces I have done. Thanks for everything you do Van! PS would love to see you on instagram!!

Nice . We all make mistakes and as beginners it's hard to know how to correct. Thanks for showing us how to salvage a rough out . Would like to see more of these type of videos.
