“Don’t dry your stuffed animal in the dryer.”
    Me: “Oops.”

Not quite what I was looking for, but it gave me enough insight on how to fix my baby's toy, so thank you!
And by "baby" I mean my puppy, who within the last hour both received and ripped her very first stuffed animal. She's currently very upset that her Dino was taken away.
Update: after an hour of trying to fix her Dino, I finally showed it to her and she was ecstatic to have him back!
2d update: 10 minutes. She had it back for less than 10 minutes. Now her Dino doesn’t have a face.

Thats so cute. Thank you for the tips. I'm going to restore my teddy. It has a broken music box inside that I need to deal with first.

Make sure you know what your tap water is like before you put your precious childhood friend in it. If you live somewhere with hard water like me, not being able to wring out as much water as possible, and then tumble dry it can leave a lot of mineral deposits on the fabric. Anytime i've washed clothes in the sink and leave to air dry, the fabric remains stiff. Same concept as if you get something on your carpet or couch, use water to remove the stain, and now realize you have a water stain on your couch. If you use distilled water, none of that will happen.

Came here to learn how to sew up a couple of damaged stuffed animals, and you showed us all of 2 seconds worth of sewing. 🙄 Not really helpful.
Fyi, I washed mine inside of a washing bag in the washer and then popped it in the dryer with no issues whatsoever. Some more stuffing came out during the process, but that's why I washed it in a washing bag. Put the stuffing back in, and was looking to find a sewing tutorial on how to stitch it up without it showing.
So thanks for nothing I guess. 🤷‍♀
