Police trainee here. Just wanted to thank you for sharing this method since all other techniques I've followed haven't worked, but this has really made mine shine.
Use saphir mirror gloss/paté de luxe for flat surfaces of the boots and then use Kiwi Parade gloss for those parts of the boots that bend. With the adequate techique, you will have the most mirror shined boots ever with the lowest amount of maintenance. Trust me all my shoes are now mirror shined at perfection.

Thank you for your video, if I understood correctly, first I apply the polish product then I heat it until it has a wet appearance then I polish with the horse hair brush, I repeat these actions for as long as possible to obtain a perfect result and once finished (which I consider to be sufficient) I put a little water on the shoe and I rub with cotton to make it shine and the process is finished, correct?
That’s it! The layers are to build a solid foundation to shine over the shoe texture. Once that foundation is built, don’t use the horse hair brush. After you heat it, you use some water and a cotton swab to polish out that foggy look and get the smooth shine you’re looking for. Good luck!

Best way to strip boot down, so I can start over?
Heat up existing polish and wipe off hard as it’s melted. Then I use rubbing alcohol to help cut through the remaining.

Can this work for army cadet boots? I'm in cadets and they didn't explain it in a way that I fully understood.
Question, my polish doesn’t look wet when applying heat? Is there a reason why it isn’t?
either not enought polish or not enough water/moisture
It’s possible just not enough polish on it. But even the slightest it’ll get shiny almost instantly when enough heat is on it. But it could also be that you burned the polish too much. get that base layer thick

I've got a pair of 5.11 8" Tatical boots can I apply the same technique to those?
I used the leather luster kit on AMAZON and they came out looking like a jet black paint job on a car.
1 Clean with Pre Clean
2 Coat thin and dry for 6 hours
3 steel wool to smooth base coat
4 thick coat
5 thick coat one hour later then dry in front of heater
6 steel wool
7 last coat and let air dry
Protect with Vaseline after
