I was 10 when I first saw this video and I just watched it constantly for weeks afterwards, I may not be a fan of animash anymore but I was able to enjoy this like I did when I was a kid. Thanks for being awesome Kodi.
11 years... How does time fly. My Husband and I were going over animated shows and movies today, and I got reminded of this channel and the Animash community that introduced me to a lot of interesting movies and shows.. And I SEARCHED for this channel. I still remember how amazed I was, and how I was always looking forward to your next edits. Your work kept me inspired. I think it’s one of the things that really pushed me into the art field... Hope your doing well, man!
Dude I'm crying from the sheer might of that video, there were so many effects that you did that I have no clue how you did it! You are the man with the plan, the awesome of awesoe, you totally blew all of the other videos I watched out of the water, I can't understand how more people haven't discovered the epicness of this video. Oh and if say, Scar were to come flying out of my t.v I think I might have a heart attack but to be able to see Scar in person would be totally worth it!
@TheWolfLoverin That's an interesting effect to talk about. Let's call it the "Outline Materialization". It basically traces the outline of a character and forms it. Getting down to more technical details, I first drew an outline using After Effect's Masking tool. Then I used Trapcode Particular's emitter to trace the path as it emits zero-velocity white particles with lasting lives. The fiery sparkle is another set of particles but with some velocity and a much shorter life.
OMG Seriously?! No way, this must be one of the very best AMV's I've seen in my whole life, it was so original and creative. IDK wat to say, it's just totally awesome! *sub* Generally, the masking/chroma was impecable (I think that's a word XD) and the timing was overall very well done. GREAT JOB!
(part 2)...the feelings being produced thru the song. Really cool bgs and effects. The sun in the foreground was really cool. I loved all the masking, like the cars with the trees in the bg. Very creative. Oh and, thats some of the best lip syncing I've ever seen! Its like the characters are actually on stage, performing these songs! Thats nuts. :D I heard about what u had to do to make it look so good. Oh and, nice creative touch with the live action parts at the beginning and end...

Review of video: Outright in the intro we get a very interesting way to start this one and only kodimash, starting with Kodi himself in the flesh. I must say this was planned out perfectly, though the clipping to a different video shots is only a mild annoyance to some. After starting we get what Kodi excels at along with other things, animashing. What follows is some of the most expertly done use of effects, and the mashing between songs is amazing, the songs are perfectly picked, and the shadows used by dodger, objects, and other characters in the beginning of the mash is what caught me attention. Most couldn't or simply wouldn't include this detail, but Kodi incorporated it very well in the video. But i have to deduct points on the review do to the characters having some of the old background that they had in place before, but only a mind annoyance. The lip syncing is top of the line, putting them in just the right time and place they look like they are meant to sing these parts. On the the live action dog parts, I have to say they are very nicely done, and as I've said the lip syncing is done elegantly. back to the animated parts again, i have already put in the negative for the backgrounds so I'm not including it. Next is the couple clip show, This part gave me a heart attack on the count of cute overload, even though some couples I don't agree with it was done amazing that I couldn't CARE (while it usually it does bother me, also i know call me selfish :3) Finally the ending, and I already took points off for the clipping so balto and bolt clipping isn't going to impact the review at this point anymore. Final thoughts/wrapping up: the video is well done and i have to say the first time i watched it I enjoyed it very much and still do. The clipping doesn't faze me much as it did anymore and the live parts with Kodi was hilarious. Final Score 9.7/10 extras: step one) wait for 3:39 step two) pause step three) enjoy a drunk Balto
