Not overpowered, now it's underpowered since the HESH has been nerfed. You need to play it before complaining about it. Every single tank targets you first, you don't have much armor at all, you need a long time to aim, the HESH is absolutely unpredictable, etc. The most OP tank is the WT auf E-100, which can do twice the average damage of the 183 HESH with a clip of AP, which it fires in about the same time much more accurately. With APCR it will penetrate almost every tank almost every time.
Seriously ? WT auf E100's average dpm with the 15 cm = 3k, 183's average dpm with HESH = 4.5k (look on Tanks Inspector). WT E100 has no armor and 183 has been buffed and now has a very good armor. 183 can one shot a med with HESH. WT E100 has been nerfed and now no one is affraid about it. Wich tank is OP now ? 183.

It could only fire 4 rounds a minute in real life and the turret had to go to a forward facing position to reload the gun. Also in game it's a fucking hover craft.

As for those who dislike the balance of the TD, while I agree that it is OP in terms of its obvious damage output and excellent penetration PLUS no real need to always penetrate anyway (read up on how HESH works), it is still very difficult to master. I am sure that BljesakiOluja is certain that he could just wreck with the TD + HESH, but only if he is, in fact, a very good WoT player, because it IS easy to wreck it (poor armor), you can time against its reload (25 seconds), and it is NOT easy to maneuver at all. I might raise controversy here, and I certainly agree that the damage output is OP, but the TD itself is quite balanced (In my opinion, and many others) due to the weaknesses that it displays.

Once you get into the era of a T-72, M-60A1/A2/A3, Chieftain, T-80, T-90 (Russian) or M-1 or Leo A-2 or A-4, Challenger, Merkava or even step up to some solid AFV's like Bradley, PT-76, etc etc, thats the way it goes, and if MM does not improve by leaps and bounds quickly(!!!), T-7's will also be placed potentially as potential scouts for Tier-11 or 12, if it comes to that. God help us!! I tried 9 times to get a T-6 game with my french tank, and it kept throwing me into T-9 and 10 games. UGH. --To defend this player is necessary to just one point. Perhaps he earned the right, through grinding, to get this beast! Dont displace your own frustration to your own efforts to get there as well. If someone runs 100mtrs faster than you, accept it. The opponents didnt rush the TD's at all, that lead to their success, but he left Foch to hold the corner for him, and he(Foch) did it with GREAT success. Kudo to him. I am not saying FV didnt add to the game, his position was solid, and he did add cover & support to the center-push,...but he left a comrade on his hill alone to protect him, so those credits were easy ones, he only had to think of one thing, sniping. when you have that, sure, you are going to burn the points....but try to do that with alot of other traffic around you and from many angles.....he didnt. He was lucky that no one pushed him and Foch...two well respected vehicles.... Good Job FOCH! This game was your success as well !!!!!!
i love the fact that many of the people who are always complaining about tanks like the 183, WT E100, and KV2 being OP, are also the ones complaining that WoT doesn't have enough realism. Do you have any idea what a 183mm HESH shell would do to the average WWII technology tank with a realistic damage model? A Maus would be nothing but confetti on a solid hit, each and every time. So if you complain about tanks being OP, don't say you want realism.
Thethorschariot No. The Death Star has a narrow gun arc and slow aiming, it has almost no chance to hit you if you were just shot at it and turn back to cover. His bullet travel in air and aiming time was slow like in the slow motion film. So comparing it OP to Jagdtiger gun with autoload so still, Hell no.
Yellow Submarine The Death Start does not have a narrow gun arc, its gun arc is very good. Also, the WT E-100 has the worst camo rating, combine that with its low turret armor and large silhouette, once it is spotted anyone that can see it will shoot it and do damage. Also the Death Star can actually bounce shells and the WT just can't unless someone gets unlucky and hits the hull. There's a reason most people recommend stopping at tier 9 in the WT line, the tier 10 is crap. And comparing it to the 128 that the WT gets, the FV can and will hit for 1,750+, and because it fires HE it is also going to wreck the modules of whatever it hits, pen or not. The 128 on the WT may have great accuracy and aim time but, that's all it has, the reload between clips is very long and most people only manage to get one clip off before getting focused down. The pros do not outweigh the cons.

When it does get nerfed it will be a big one. All they have to do is bring it into line with the likes of the jagpanzer e100 in terms of alpha and give it more ammo simple. and nerf the hesh.
yea monster armour but massive lower plate also 21 second reload and it is as slow as hell. But put it this way your in your tier 9 10 and u face off against the 183 your first show wont kill him but his first shot 9/10 will or at least take off nearly all your health something no other td in the game can do in 1 shot!
Berre Staelens You clearly have not played those tanks then, AT 7 has a great gun and if you only poke the right side of the AT 7 out of a corner your pretty hard to pen , the AT 15 , nice gun and armour very rapid fire decent alpha ,the Tortise monster gun good reload and comparable alpha to a Jagtiger , unless you hate slow tanks i'd say the British TD's have 1 of the best or even the best guns , they rapid fire , decent - good alpha and also i forgot to Add the AT 2 is troll if bad players shoot at you which is common in low tier 5 battles. the AT 8 can be a little pain though

Yes, I play my GW Tiger somewhat frequently. But the difference is I am not stupid and know how to aim, whereas most pre 8.6 arty players were dumb and moved to TDs because those were the next easiest things to play. Jokes on them though, because my GW Tiger is now more accurate than ever XD
The only other op tank I can think of is the kv-1s cause it has the 122mm but in the real ww2 it never hade it,it only had the 76 so it was no match to the tigers of ww2
IMO, the 183 itself isn't OP. The HESH ammo it carries, on the other hand, is insanely good. If they made some pen/alpha changes to it's HESH, I think the 183 would barely be any better than the Jpz.
i have a FADIN whit the hummel SPG, and the last shoot was bilnde one, near the location it was spotted the last time and the tank was in move... you can say lucky but it was a calculated shoot from me as a possible location for that tank counting the distance travel/ sec, and i was alone

I dont understand how people can call this tank "balanced" when there is no other tank in the game capable of getting even minisculy close in damage and making such an impact on the battlefield than this tank. This tank as soon as you see it; pretty much you just say "I'm dead" I mean any person with a brain knows all they have to do is shoot, pull back behind a ridge line come back and do it again, setting all the enemy tanks down to 1 shot left to take. I mean who doesnt use hesh shells in this tank?!? I mean the only reason to play this tank is to absolutely troll your enemies close to 1 shotting all of them if not 1 shotting all of them. I've got this tank and I bought it about 3 days ago.. and I'm not able to use that yet. I never know what to do: camp or attack. I think I spent 6 milions for a shit tank, but I hope to learn how to use it.
good DMG, 15000 is really high, but u guys can see that, this player always play like only 1 himself, just point and shoot enemies while they are pointing their gun to other places. So, i think it is not so difficult to have DMG like this. If u have to face to face with other enemies, and u have to run run, hide hide, .. play with tactics. Thats the pro thing. In this match u does not need to move too much, no one chase u , no one run to you. So, so .........!
this tank was never OP.... The HESH shells require more skill to use effectively than any other shell type in the game. Every day you see noobs in this thing firing 2 shots and dying. The FV is map dependant, skill dependant, team dependant etc. The TVP is accurate, has camo, is fast, has gun depression and does nearly 1300 dmg in a single ~4s burst with a similar clip reload to the 215b. Now that's an OP tank.

ap shells only do 1k to 1.2k damage and that suck bad bad nerf 310 penetration bounces alot

This tank as soon as you see it; pretty much you just say "I'm dead" I mean any person with a brain knows all they have to do is shoot, pull back behind a ridge line come back and do it again, setting all the enemy tanks down to 1 shot left to take. I mean who doesnt use hesh shells in this tank?!? I mean the only reason to play this tank is to absolutely troll your enemies close to 1 shotting all of them if not 1 shotting all of them. This is why I really dont play at 10 right now. Just defeats the purpose of playing the game. and 25 s reload? ROFL! I mean even arties that cant do close to the same damage have a min reload. Just fing retarded

I've got this tank and I bought it about 3 days ago.. and I'm not able to use that yet. I never know what to do: camp or attack. I think I spent 6 milions for a shit tank, but I hope to learn how to use it.

good DMG, 15000 is really high, but u guys can see that, this player always play like only 1 himself, just point and shoot enemies while they are pointing their gun to other places.
So, i think it is not so difficult to have DMG like this.
If u have to face to face with other enemies, and u have to run run, hide hide, .. play with tactics. Thats the pro thing.
In this match u does not need to move too much, no one chase u , no one run to you.

it's called 183 because it's gun is 183mm...
this tank was never OP.... The HESH shells require more skill to use effectively than any other shell type in the game. Every day you see noobs in this thing firing 2 shots and dying. The FV is map dependant, skill dependant, team dependant etc. The TVP is accurate, has camo, is fast, has gun depression and does nearly 1300 dmg in a single ~4s burst with a similar clip reload to the 215b. Now that's an OP tank.
