Fertility की जांच करते वक्त Semen analysis काफी महत्वपूर्ण parameter होता है। Semen analysis एक ऐसा report है जो male fertility और male reproductive health के बारेमें बोहोत सारी जानकारी देता है। Semen Analysis Wide range में होता है। वह सामान्य भी हो सकता है या फिर CASA याने Computer Assisted Semen Analysis भी हो सकता है।
ऐसे कहा जाता है की Semen analysis जितना मेहगा होता है उतना ही अच्छा होता है ऐसा शायद सच नहीं है। CASA से पहले semen analysis manually होती थी।
Things to keep in mind before semen analysis
1. Semen analysis test करने से पहले कोई विशिष्ट precautions lene की जरुरत नहीं है।
2. Semen analysis test से पहले 3-5 दिन intercourse नहीं करना चाहिए क्योकि frequent ejaculation से volume और count कम हो जाता है।
3. काफी सारे laboratories में semen collection rules hotey है और बोहोत सारे facilities होते है और home collection की भी सुविधा होती है पर उसमे एक condition होती है की semen sample 45 minutes में lab में पोहोचना चाहिए। इससे report की accuracy रहती है।
Semen analysis का report 2-3 घंटो में मिल जाता है।
CASA (Computer Assisted Semen Analysis) के रिपोर्ट्स 1 घंटे या 45 मिनट्स में मिल जाता है।
4 factors about semen analysis
1. Seminal fluid volume: Seminal fluid का volume 1.5 ml- 2 ml होना चाहिए। अगर 3-5 दिन का abstinence हो तो।
2. Total Sperm count: WHO के मुताबिक Total Sperm count 40 million से ज्यादा होना चाहिए और per ml यनेके 1ml का sperm count at least 15million होना चाहिए।
3. Total Sperm motility: Motility में 4 grades होती है। पर Total Sperm motility at least 40% होनी चाहिए। और Progressive motility 32% होनी चाहिए।
अलग-अलग दिनों में किए गए 2 अलग-अलग tests में, रिपोर्ट में थोड़ा बदलाव दिखाई दे सकता है जो acceptable है, तो इसमें परेशानी की कोई बात नहीं है। sperm अगर motile रहते है तो fertilization के chances ज्यादा रहते है।
Sperm Morphology : WHO के हिसाब से 4% sperm normal है तो उससे नार्मल समझा जाता है। लेकिन 99 या 98 % abnormal sperms हो , तो ये abnormal माना जाता है।
Report के accurate interpretation के लिए आपको आपके fertility expert के पास जाना चाहिए। इस report के आधार पे और अपने knowledge के आधार पे खुदको treat नहीं करना चाहिए। यह वीडियो सिर्फ basic semen analysis के parameters जानने के लिए बनाया है।
