This is the best way to make bread that has a chewy crust with a very dense interior. It can hold lots of kinds of filings without falling apart. And if made with the oil, it will stay fresh (won't get hard, crumbly, or moldy for at least 3 or 4 days) making it a very economical way to make bread.

@Jason Baker when I first met my husband, our first date he cooked for me. I was so impressed. It was absolutely simple. A protein with a certain type of verb that he would always use. Peas from a can. And potatoes from a box. I got really sick and tired of eating the same type of meal just a different protein. The first meal I made for him. Herb crusted veal, with garlic smashed potatoes, grilled vegetables with a mustard cream sauce. My husband was like wow how much did this cost? Did you reheat it it's good. I said you know the rule of one person Cooks the other one does dishes. You're on dish detail. He's like oh my God you cook that. I said yeah a little secret I've been cooking literally since I was 5 years old. I convinced my mother I could use the stove, cooked about five things in front of her and prove that I was big enough and okay enough to cook on the stove. By the time I was 11 I could do a full three to four course meal. It's in my blood my family owns a bakery and I love cooking. I'm not kidding he was like I'm going on strike. Here we are, 22 years later. Couple weeks ago I wasn't feeling well and he came home and he's like it's okay I'll make steaks. I thought oh he can handle that. No no no no no no. My poor son. We were all sawing into our steaks. My husband says I don't know what happened I think I forgot how to cook. I said yes you have and you have been forcing me to cook. It's 22 years. I will eat this leather steak tonight and enjoy it even though that I don't I didn't cook it and I'm enjoying it. My poor kid started choking on it his eyes started watering and I was like yeah you don't have to eat it if you don't want to. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to have a husband that actually cooked. Cuz when I first met him he did then he gave up. Since I could cook restaurant style he gave up. And to be honest with you I love my cooking and I was hungry... Plus I have more control of the protein so flavor profiles and everything else. But my God please give me a day off.

The filling was, boere wors or a Russian sausage, or a beef, pork or some other sausage. We used tomato and onion with chilli sauce or mustard over the roll. Reguards, from Michael Jonathan Lewis, Allens-Nek, Roodepoort, J H B.South Africa.

@@МаинаДаудова-ь3е не, не получилось, ошибку какую то допустила. Газа нет, а плита электрическая работает ,,включил- выключил,, заготовку положила в кипяток, до закипания уходит целая минута. В городской квартире тоже нет газа. На даче в деревне дровяная печь, пеку хлеб на сковороде, в электрической духовке более 40лет. Жаль, что предыдущие хозяева сломали русскую печь.
Всем доброго здравия. Сегодня приготовила хлеб по подобной технологии. Но без дрожжей. А на теплом кефире, с добавлением гашёной уксусом соды. Плюс соль,сахар. Замесила не очень крутое тесто. Накрыла полотеничком и оставила минут на 40. Затем снова перемесила тесто,разделила на 4 части. Сформировала колобки. Оставила их под полотенцем на 10 минут. Тем временем вскипятила воду 2 л,добавила в нее 3 ст.л пищевой соды. Проварила колобки 40 секунд. Затем выложила их на смазанный постным маслом противень. И отправила в деревенскую печь. Пекла минут 30. До достижения румяной корочки. Достала на полотенце и им же накрыла. Попробовала. Получился ! Корочка хрустящая, а внутри мягенький. Можно ,наверное,не накрывать полотенцем. Благодарю автора этого видео за прекрасную идею.

Bagels are cooked in boiling water before baking as well.
If you add baking soda to the boiling water, you'll be making pretzel bread.
