Nice find! Good luck on your replacement project there. Luckily the glass on mine windows were intact. The window cranks on the other hand, are completely shot.
Can you list where you got your gaskets, crank replacement or parts, thanks. I have a 1967 Trailblazer that I need to work on. I bought a used window in good shape but the crank isn’t functioning. Final thought, someone said these two Pane windows are called Awning Windows, the earlier ones with 3 plus were Jalousie but not sure how to tell other than that. Thanks
The gaskets I got from www.vintagetrailergaskets.com/ I haven't replaced the hand cranks yet but I need to. I haven't found a good supplier and the variety on these cranks leads me to think it'll be very hard to replace. Thank you for watching!
@@jonip278 I have not. We have found out though that when we go camping, we aren't really needing to open and close the windows. They stay closed all the time.
I have been trying to find a video like this so I can get my Windows fixed. Thank you for the awesome video.
Thank you for watching! I hope your project goes well.
I just scooped up a 1970 Styliner camper in Savannah Ga, has 3 broken panes of glass I have to try and figure out how to replace, thanks for the vid

@@ProjectNineOaks have you found replacement cranks that you like?

I read 9n a website where they took the glass panes out before removing the window…..I am considering this
As long as you are careful when removing that last screw attaching it to the camper, you should be fine. Good luck with your project!
Nice framing on the exterior shell of the camper! 😉
Thank you! Just about done with that part of the build.
I have those exact windows.
Do you have the part numbers for the exact gaskets you used to restore the window?
Yes I would like to know to ..
Awesome video-new friend here- very interesting info
I appreciate it! Thank you for watching.
When reusing old holes I like to use wood glue and break off some wooden match sticks or skewers in the holes.
Great idea. I'll have to remember that. Thank you for watching.
Sorry but I hate fast-forward video. Really would like to have seen the glass reinstall but nope another worthless fast-forward video.
