Fantastic to see the Northern lights again David, you’ve had some truly awesome experience’s! Thanks for sharing! It reminds me of when I was on the border of Finland and Sweden at Karesuvanto, driving a snow mobile on the frozen Muonio river and stopped to watch the Northern lights above me! A magic experience 👍 Clear skies!
I can imagine! It's a marvellous area with it's open landscape and low fell mountains. In the military we trained a lot at that border region. Could be very cold! 😀Clear skies!
Sorry to hear you are getting lots of cloudy nights - I feel your pain as it is the same here. Those time lapses are fantastic - so magical. It is on my bucket list to travel to where I can stand beneath the aurora like that.
Thanks! I hope there will be some clear nights soon! I hope you will be able to experience aurora. First time I think it must be such an extremely awesome experience!
Fint..! Jo det har varit mycket mulet i år, jag vet inte hur många gånger jag har burit ut teleskopet för kylning, sen när man skall ut och studera stjärnhimmelen. Mulet... nåväl vi får hoppas framöver på "klara skyar"
Spectacular time lapses David. Can I ask what ISO, aperture and shutter speed you are using? What program do you use time create the time lapse video? Dr B from Manitoba, Canada 🇨🇦
Thanks Brian! It depends.. most often I use shutter speeds of around 2 sec with maybe 1-2 sec interval. The iso will be what it will be, sometimes very high +10000. When it's snow the landscape is a lot brighter so then you can use maybe iso 800-1600. I process them in Lightroom, Topaz deNoise and put together the time-lapse in Final Cut pro.
Wow 👍
Wow! Absolutely stunning!
Beautiful, truly beautiful. 👏👏👏👏🌌
Thank you! Yes it's very beautiful, and mind grasping when you think how the particles that causes aurora once arose inside the sun.
Beautifully shot, processed, rendered and edited. Thank you!
Thank you Alan! In next video I hope there will be some deep sky photography! 😀
Simply stunning, unbelievable work my friend thanks for sharing this display of natural beauty.
Thanks alot, yeah aurora is a piece of magic!
Very enjoyable to watch, David. Tasteful as always and mesmerizingly beautiful.
Thanks Keith! Longing for some clear skies soon! :)
